Goodbye July… Hello August ☀️

What a month it’s been!

July was fully booked with a lovely mix of ad hoc nannying and Wedding Nanny bookings, including a full-day + overnight booking with two wonderful little guests. It was also a pleasure to have the lovely Sophie join me for that booking for a third little guest 🤍

We spent our days bug hunting, catching butterflies, dragonflies and ladybirds while learning all about them. There was plenty of water play to keep cool during the hot summer sunshine, and when it became too warm to be outdoors, we got creative with arts and crafts - making aquariums from recycled materials and enjoying lots of mark making with pens and paints.

We also completed another paediatric first aid course, meaning I am a certified first aider for another 3 years 🥳

One of my favourite moments from July though was spending time with my very first nanny family. I took them to the stables before we caught up over pizza afterwards. I honestly couldn’t believe that the teeny tiny human I first cared for is now (almost) taller than me! 😱

Thank you to every family who booked with Auntie Aimee’s Childcare in July. Your support means so much, and I’m so grateful to have had another fully booked month.

-Two Little Guests for an ‘All Day/Overnight’ Wedding Nanny booking, with the lovely Sophie joining me to care for a third little guest!-

I arrived at the stunning venue during the morning preparations to keep the little guests entertained whilst all the grown ups got ready. We had so much fun playing with all the toys I provided on the day (the Duplo and mark making were an absolute hit!), before sitting down together for some lunch and getting ourselves ready too.

Once ready, the little guests headed over to the ceremony with their family to watch their mummy & daddy get married. I stayed back at the venue to organise the toy bag and take in the stunning views whilst enjoying a little sunshine too ☀️

Sophie then joined me for the afternoon to care for a third little guest. We found sticks, played football and catch, popped bubbles, and did LOTS of drawing and colouring in.

After food, we headed up to the little guests’ room to wind down for the day. We built a cosy den using blankets and pillows, sat inside building with the Duplo, and read lots of stories together. A calm end to a beautiful day 📚

At bedtime, we said goodbye to Sophie and goodnight to mummy & daddy before snuggling up in bed with a bedtime story. The two little guests didn’t take long to drift off to sleep 🥱 I was then on hand until the morning so the grown ups could enjoy an evening of dancing and celebrating, knowing their little ones were safe and settled.

As Auntie Aimee’s Childcare is run solely by me, responses may occasionally take a few days during busy periods. If I’m not replying to your message, I won’t be replying to anyone else’s either! 🤗

All enquiries are answered on a first come, first served basis, so I always work through messages in the order they’re received.

As Auntie Aimee’s Childcare has become more established within the wedding industry, my summers have become even busier - which I absolutely love! 🥹 But it does mean that when I’m not out ad hoc nannying or caring for little guests at weddings, I’m usually working hard behind the scenes creating content, replying to enquiries, planning bookings, growing my little business… or if I’m feeling extra generous, actually taking a well-earned break! 🤭

One final thing… I don’t respond to enquiries whilst I’m caring for little ones. They deserve my full attention and I’d much rather be building dens, reading stories and joining in with imaginative play than sitting on my phone 🩵
