Today I’ve spent the day at Swanwick Lakes having a refresh of my own Forest School skills, there were so many brilliant ideas and maybe even a new tool or too to add to the box!

This months Weekend Wellie Walk is this afternoon and there is just one family ticket left:

A very quiet weekend at the museum last June but I did get to meet some lovely children for a little forest school in the woods!

What a year for Learning and Community Engagement at the Weald & Downland Living Museum!

Over the past academic year, we welcomed almost 10,000 learners, hosted 175 school visits, 43 international schools, 17 community groups, and delivered an incredible 661 workshops. From hands-on history and heritage crafts to family learning, home education and early years sessions, we continue to inspire curiosity and bring the past to life for people of all ages.

Thank you to every school, teacher, volunteer, family and community group who joined us. We're looking forward to another exciting year of learning, discovery and unforgettable experiences.
