🪲🌿 Exploring the Wonderful World of Minibeasts! 🌿🪲

Today we had so much fun creating our very own bug investigation station! 🕵️‍♀️ The children explored different textures, materials, and creepy crawlies using magnifying glasses and binoculars to take a closer look.

We used natural resources like pine branches, wood slices, and straw to build a mini habitat, then added lots of insects to spark imaginative play and curiosity. 🐜🪵

This activity encourages:

✨ Language development
✨ Understanding of the natural world

The children loved searching, sorting, and discovering all the different bugs — especially getting up close with the magnifying glasses! 🔍

Today we were treated to a truly special visit from a fantastic magician, and what an unforgettable experience it was! 🎩✨

The children were completely captivated from start to finish—full of giggles, wide eyes, and lots of “WOW!” moments. From silly tricks and balloon fun to magical surprises, every child had the chance to get involved and feel part of the show.

It was so lovely to see their confidence shine as some of them helped with the tricks, and their imaginations were well and truly sparked. Moments like these are so important for building social skills, encouraging creativity, and most importantly… having lots of fun together! 💛

We love creating memorable experiences for the children, and today was definitely one to remember.

🌟 Learning Through Play – Butterfly Theme 🦋 🌟

Today we had lots of fun exploring a butterfly-themed activity! 🦋

The children enjoyed:
✨ Practising pencil control with fun tracing patterns
✨ Learning about the butterfly life cycle
✨ Developing early writing skills with letter tracing
✨ Exploring colours, shapes, and creativity

It’s wonderful to see their confidence grow as they build important fine motor skills through play 💛

Every activity is carefully planned to support learning in a fun and engaging way!

🐛 Caterpillar Update 🐛

Our little caterpillars are doing wonderfully! They’ve been busy eating, growing, and exploring their home. We’ve already noticed how much bigger they’re getting each day—such a great way for the children to see real life changes up close.

Some have even started climbing up towards the lid, which means they’re getting ready for their next stage… we might soon see them form their chrysalises! 🦋

The children have been so curious and gentle, checking in on them daily and learning all about their life cycle. It’s been a lovely hands-on experience and a great opportunity to talk about nature and change.

We’ll keep you updated as our tiny friends continue their transformation! 🌿

🌿 New Arrival 🐛

Today the children discovered something fascinating… wriggly little visitors! We are going to observe them up close and learn about their movements and habitats.

This hands-on experience sparked lots of curiosity, questions, and excitement — a perfect opportunity to talk about nature, mini-beasts, and caring for living things 🐞

We’ll be watching them closely before safely returning them to their natural home 🌱

Our butterfly garden is all set up and we are now patiently waiting for our very special new arrivals! The children will soon be observing the amazing journey from tiny caterpillars all the way through to beautiful butterflies 🦋

This is such a wonderful hands-on learning experience, giving the children the chance to explore life cycles, care for living things, and watch real-life changes happen right before their eyes 🌱

We can’t wait to share each stage of this magical transformation with you—stay tuned for updates as our little caterpillars arrive and begin their journey! 💛

🌸🐣 Easter Fun at Our Setting 🐣🌸

We’ve been getting into the Easter spirit with lots of colourful, hands-on play! 💛

The children have loved exploring our sensory trays filled with shredded paper, soft chicks, bunnies, and hidden eggs to discover. These activities encourage imagination, fine motor skills, and lots of lovely conversations as they play together.

We also created a fun Easter tuff tray, using different textures, bright colours, and little surprises to spark curiosity and exploration. From feathers to shiny materials, there was so much to touch, see, and talk about!

It’s been wonderful to see the children so engaged, creative, and excited during their play 🐰✨
