What shapes a young person’s future?

This morning I had the pleasure of delivering a workshop at Thomas Knyvett College in Ashford, working with a fantastic group of Year 7 pupils.

A huge thank you to Judah McPherson, Careers Lead, whose warmth and hospitality made the visit such a positive experience—and for sharing his reflections in the video below—and to Jane Quelch of for their support in making the session possible.

Two words that can make a real difference in schools: enrichment and aspiration.

One of the big parts of an All Rise Workshop is the Crown Court trial. As part of preparation for the trial, I share with the pupils a video of friends Russel Pyne, Head of Chambers and Jessica Kaynja, barristers at 2 King’s Bench Walk. The video provides some golden tips on the art of questioning and examining the truth. Big thanks to Russ and Jessica. The kids love it!

The court is in session! Looking forward to provide 2 trials of the infamous case of Goldilocks this afternoon to 60 fantastic students at Goring Primary. Huge thanks to Mortimer Clarke Solicitors for supporting our workshops from the beginning and to Jessica and Louise for coming today.

Had a fantastic day with some brilliant year 7&8 students. Thank you very much to Phil Dean who set things up and was kind enough to provide an impromptu video. Off to Goring Primary on Friday to meet 60 Year 5 pupils and enthuse them about all things law. New term well underway!
