🦷 This week we have started the NHS Supervised Tooth Brushing Programme!
🦷 A new incentive rolling out across the country in settings to help combat tooth decay. The children will brushing their teeth with us once a day using their own toothbrush given by the NHS.
🦷 The NHS are hoping that this makes a developmental difference in children’s long term oral health!
🦷 decay has now become the most common disease in children and an average of 3 days off school per year is missed due to dental problems and poor oral health.
🦷 Please still make sure you are supporting your children to brush their teeth twice a day using fluoride toothpaste.

Don’t expect your child to write before doing activities like these….
This weeks learning has been focussed on Chinese New Year, The Weather and Materials! A real mixture. Here is how we’ve represented this learning for the children to explore and create. Tray 1-coloured red salt with paint brushes for mark making and visual clues around the tray of how to write numbers in Chinese.
Tray 2-blue coloured cornflour with artic animals, tools for mark making and making animal foot prints.
Tray 3- variety of all sorts of materials for using scissors. Adding many different types of materials develops language around texture.
Great for speech development, fine motor skills, learning about cultures and different environments too!

We have been so supported by our families and friends this year with our people who help is topic!
A first for us this year was a parent who is Cabin Crew we also had a local tractor driver arrive to let us have a sit in his tractor! Today we have had a wonderful PE lesson from a school teacher.
Thank you to all our helpers from hairdressers to the Fire Brigade and Ambulance team. You are all amazing at what you do! 🩵

This morning the children were visited by SECAMB to talk about how they help us as part of our ‘People who help us’ topic! 🚑 🚨

A lovely evening being creative and enjoying doing something festive together that’s not making early years art! A great one for relaxing the mind.
