We’ve been playing with casting gemstones in place recently and have had some great results. Debbie cast this lovely pendant today using a rough face flat disc stone as the master. She then set lots of tiny 2mm cz’s into the face of the sand prior to casting. The result was great and Debbie loved it. She also loved the button from the sprue which is from the pouring chamber and part of the casting process. This is usually removed after casting. She said it was the ‘umbilical cord’ - and I love that!
So she sawed off the button and hey presto an ‘umbilical cord’ ring was created to link the pendant to the process and how it was created. Brilliant!!🤩 ❤️

Great day in the studio with Lyn and Kelly making stacker rings. Textures were achieved by hammering and using dies and twisting wires. Great job ladies 🙌

These amazing mahoosive hoops made by Linda are stunning 🤩 The ring is in the pic to give an idea of scale. Beautifully made with twisted sparkly wire and neatly finished with silver end caps. 🙌⭐️👏

Anita has been hard at work in the studio recently mastering the techniques to make a claw setting and also forging a ring shank in silver wire to hold the setting. Great results!
