📌 Aiming for Grade 8–9 in GCSE Literature? I help ambitious students move beyond “good” answers and produce perceptive, conceptual responses that consistently reach the top of the mark scheme.

I’m a qualified teacher, Head of Department and Assistant Headteacher, with 25 years’ experience as a GCSE and A Level examiner. Students working with me routinely outperform their targets, developing the precision, academic voice and exam discipline required for Grades 8 and 9.

Recent results:
• Over 85% of students improved by at least 2 GCSE grades within one academic year
• 70%+ of students achieved a Grade 7–9 in GCSE Literature
• Multiple students progressed from Grade 5/6 to Grade 8/9 through structured, high-level exam preparation

(Results based on internal tracking and summer exam outcomes.)

What I run:
• Small online groups (maximum 6 students)
• Two live Zoom lessons per week
• GCSE Literature focus
• 6pm (UK) sessions
• Includes: examiner insight, Grade 8–9 modelling, focused practice, and detailed feedback

Why it works:
Lessons follow a refined “I do – we do – you do” structure, explicitly aligned to top-band assessment objectives. Students practise with real exam questions, analyse Grade 8–9 model responses, and use repeatable writing frameworks to perform consistently under timed conditions.

Students learn how to:
• Build conceptual, exploratory arguments
• Integrate precise quotation and critical analysis
• Write with control, fluency and academic authority
• Secure marks in AO1, AO2 and AO3 at the highest level
