It was wonderful to welcome the teachers back to school today and meet some new friendly faces. Thank you for all of your hard work over the past few years, and I wish you all the luck for the year ahead.

Thank you, Get Stuffed NT, for the delicious sweets; everyone thoroughly enjoyed them!

We have really enjoyed supporting the 'Friends of Holmebrook Valley Park' by designing their new logo!

Inspired by the pupils of St Mary's Catholic Primary School (Chesterfield) and their fantastic drawings, we set to work creating a logo which incorporated their ideas.

Their drawings had many themes in common, and here is some of their brilliant artwork which was used to create the final logo!

Schools and Child Care Centres. There is nothing more special then receiving a card coloured in by your child with some added touches.

If you would like one, please feel free to give Stacee a call on 8999 6755 to arrange.

🌟We recently ran a playground design competition at St Mary's Catholic Primary School and Brockwell Infant and Junior Schools.
The designs were AMAZING!
The winners and runners up won a Badger cuddly toy.
We’ve taken into consideration all of the most popular requests and have sent a list to the council. When we have the top 3 designs we will let the children choose which one they like best. 🌟
Thank you to all these brilliant Derbyshire schools and their teachers, you're doing an amazing job!! πŸ‘

As always, it was lovely to catch up with our wonderful teachers at Larrakeyah Primary School and St Mary's Catholic Primary School last week.

I stopped by on one of the teacher's birthday, so it was the perfect time to deliver some delicious cakes from Kurt's Cakes!

Thank you for all that you do; your work is always appreciated.
I received so many wonderful entries for the Christmas card colouring competition, and as you can see, a lot of hard work has gone into colouring in Santa on his sleigh in Tropical Darwin!

It was extremely hard to choose a winner! You will receive my Christmas Card with the winning colouring-in soon, but if somehow you don't find yours please contact my office.

Thank you to all the entrants, you all did a great job!

An extra bonus was to assist the School Captains present principle Rosie Harrison with flowers for Australian Primary Principals Day πŸ’ It's a pleasure to be able to thank the teachers for all of their hard work during Covid

Year 6 were privileged to hear Mr and Mrs Mizen talk to them today about the impact of violence and bullying. It was difficult to hear the terrible story of what they have been through. The children were inspired by their values of respect and forgiveness which they talked so openly about. A lesson in life for each and every one of them. Thank you St Mary's Catholic High School for this wonderful opportunity for our children.

We have taken the difficult decision to close school today. As a result of the weather, we do not have enough staff to safely open and we cannot clear the site. This makes it unsafe to open to pupils. Work will be set on Google Classroom. Thank you.

15/12/2022

Just a gentle reminder that the website to purchase tickets for Santa in School closes today at 5pm. Children will be able to buy more tokens on the day.

We know that this time of year can be stressful and expensive especially during the current cost of living crisis. With that in mind, no child will be left without a gift from Santa in School this year.

15/12/2022

I’ve had Santa’s elves on the phone this morning asking me to clear a space on the roof tomorrow morning as there may be a special visitor! Gates will open at 8.40 (Cross Street 8.30 as usual) - so you can get in early ready to see him! πŸŽ…πŸŽ„

10/12/2022

Don’t forget to buy your Santa in School tickets and tokens before next Wednesday.

Tickets and tokens can be booked by visiting pta-events.co.uk/ptfastmaryschesterfield by 5pm Wednesday 14th December.
