Year 6 were privileged to hear Mr and Mrs Mizen talk to them today about the impact of violence and bullying. It was difficult to hear the terrible story of what they have been through. The children were inspired by their values of respect and forgiveness which they talked so openly about. A lesson in life for each and every one of them. Thank you St Mary's Catholic High School for this wonderful opportunity for our children.
What a busy term we have had! Thank you for all your support as ever. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter break.

We have taken the difficult decision to close school today. As a result of the weather, we do not have enough staff to safely open and we cannot clear the site. This makes it unsafe to open to pupils. Work will be set on Google Classroom. Thank you.
Year 3 are having a fantastic time at Southwell Workhouse today.
What an amazing time we have had today celebrating World Book Day! Take a look at what we have been up to in our newsletter below:

The big man arrived! What a brilliant start to our Santa in School day! π β€οΈπ
Just a gentle reminder that the website to purchase tickets for Santa in School closes today at 5pm. Children will be able to buy more tokens on the day.
We know that this time of year can be stressful and expensive especially during the current cost of living crisis. With that in mind, no child will be left without a gift from Santa in School this year.
Iβve had Santaβs elves on the phone this morning asking me to clear a space on the roof tomorrow morning as there may be a special visitor! Gates will open at 8.40 (Cross Street 8.30 as usual) - so you can get in early ready to see him! π π
Donβt forget to buy your Santa in School tickets and tokens before next Wednesday.
Tickets and tokens can be booked by visiting pta-events.co.uk/ptfastmaryschesterfield by 5pm Wednesday 14th December.
Our Friday newsletter is here. Take a look at all we have been doing as we get ready for Christmas this Advent.
