Here we have Cameron Harris, who passed his test today, 20th Sept '23. Cameron has had some disappointments as far as tests have been concerned, but finally cracked it, holding his nerve & using his own car as he has been practicing in it on a daily basis with help from his father! Finally all the practice & determination paid off! Really proud of Cameron, excellent result, now he can plan to drive to work, university & basically anywhere he wants to go! Happy days!

What a great week, 3 tests & 3 passes! Today, Thursday 7th September iit was Calista Maund who nervously took her test, with the calming influence of her Examiner Calista got the result she came for! What a result! Calista can leave for university knowing its in the bag, all the very best!

What a result today! I could not be more pleased for Lewis Wood who took & passed his test today Wednesday 6th September. Just 2 faults & a really positive drive, proved how much he's progressed. I'm sure he'll be enjoying the sunshine in his BMW at this very moment. Brilliant result & a great student.

So on Tuesday 5th September, Jacob Stewart had his test, knowing as he was off to university shortly, it was an opportunity not to be missed. Just the 4 faults & Jacob goes to university with the pass under his belt! Brilliant result, so pleased for Jacob, well done!

What a result on Saturday (26/08/23)for Alberta Hallam, who not only passed her test at the very first attempt, but did it with ZERO faults into the bargin! Some positive comments from the Examiner, too, about Alberta's drive was good to hear! It's been a long road to get to this point, but she's finally made it in style! Well done & a great result!

Not a good start to the week & why does it always happen when you've not long replaced the tyres! It all goes with the territory I suppose as a driving instructor! Jon's tyres to the rescue!

What a great result today - Tuesday 15th August '23! Hana Phipps passed her driving test! Hana has had a couple of failed attempts, but today along with Scott her Examiner putting her at her ease, she has got the result she's worked so hard for! I could not be more happy for her or proud of her, well done Hana, so with her own car, there are no more buses or lifts to scrounge!

Here is Anthony Hyde, who took his test in his own car this morning (Mon 7th Aug '23) & only went & passed 1st time! What a result! A big thanks goes to his dad, who did an excellent job in taking Anthony out regularly & backing up our lessons! Great team effort.

What a result today!(Tuesday 1st August '23) Liam Wigmore passed with ZERO faults! Couldn't be more pleased for Liam after a couple of frustrating results to show his true ability. What a result! Goes to show what determination & applying yourself can result in! I'm sure the next few years university will bring similar results!

So my first ever student to take their test on a Sunday, Izzy Cartwright went & passed with just 3 minor faults today 30th April '23. Brilliant result for a brilliant student, who sometimes didn't realise how good a driver she is, perhaps Izzy will believe it now! A real pleasure to have helped pass.

Thursday 8th December & Sarah Juby finally did something she should have done years ago, passed her test! Almost a clear round too, just one fault for an indicator left on! What a fantastic result! Now Sarah can finally take her kids to school in a morning & granddad can have a lie-in!! 😴😅 It's never too late to learn!

I do believe that my skills as a photographer are getting worse! So my apologies to Hayley Craggs who took & passed her test yesterday 30th September! I was sitting in on the test, so was able to witness how well Hayley drove, yes she picked up some faults (a lady never reveals how many!) but overall, considering the pressure that builds leading up to & during the test, it was a drive to be proud of. Really pleased for Hayley! Now I wonder how sharing the car with Euan will go down!

I know, I'm late with this one! Anyway on Tuesday 6th September Ewan Abbottspooner had his test, we didn't need to worry as Ewan came back with an excellent result with just 2 driving faults. Ewan was a credit, especially to his father who has done an excellent job with private tuition in their own car. A pleasure to help & a well deserved result! (my apologies for its delayed posting!)

What a result on Wednesday 27th July. Ruby Birks, who had taken her test before only went & passed with just the one driving fault! Ruby has grown into a really proficient & confident driver, in part to driving her own car (Suzuki Swift) most days with her mum or dad. Practice, practice, practice! Really pleased for Ruby, brilliant result!

While out this evening, I noticed these 3 reminders of a past Britain! Funnily enough my dad had 2 out of these 3, the Riley, which I think is a 4/72 & then the Wolsley (if I remember my sister learned to drive in it too!) the middle one I think is an earlier Morris Oxford.

Last lesson today was a post-test motorway lesson with Claudia Risorto, lesson went really well, travelled up M1 & onto M18 & returned. Lovely to see Claudia so confident in her driving, upon our return I was handed this card & wine as a thank you! Always a treat to receive such gifts! Thank you Claudia & family!

I am so pleased to be posting this! Emma Taylor took her first driving test today(Tuesday 7th June '22) & absolutely bossed it, with just 3 minor faults. She even conquered Whittington Moor roundabout into the bargain as well! So proud of Emma, will look forward to seeing her out & about in her own car!

So last week I was supposed to have 3 students on test, the first in Worksop was cancelled, so we moved on to Nathan Storer, who had his test scheduled for Thursday 14th October. Nathan was understandably nervous, lots of deep breaths, but apart from hesitating to round a tractor (not like Nathan) all was well & a mere 4 faults recorded! Nathan now looks forward to getting the keys to a new van for work!! Great job Nathan!

Close on Nathans heels, on Friday 15th October it was Phoebe Storer's (yes, they are related! - bro/sis-in-law) test, now earlier in the week Phoebe admitted to being excited about the test! Come Friday, that excitement had turned to a little nervous!! But Phoebe need not have fretted as she came back with the right result & similar to Nathan, just the 4 faults! Don't think husband Elliot is going to see much of their navy Giulietta any time soon! Great result Phoebe, couldn't be happier for you!

What a great result today! (26th October '21) Almost a month ago Joe Eaton failed a really good drive for not coming to a complete stop at a STOP🛑 sign! Really frustrating, but today all was rectified with just 4 driver faults & a fully deserved pass! Joe has been an absolute pleasure to work with & I couldn't be happier for him!

Friday 5th November started bright & sunny, would it stay like that or end with fireworks? Well for Nathan Moss is was a day to remember as he passed his test with flying colours & compliments from Ben his Examiner! Covid-19 & delays to both theory & practical tests had messed Nathan around, but the pass was a good feeling! Well done Nathan, great result for all your hard work!

What a beautiful day it was today! Blue sky, the sun was shining! But for Isaac Cooper it'll be remembered as the day he finally passed his test! I say finally as it seems ages due to Covid-19 & cancellations, but today he's only gone & done it! 4 fauts, same as his sister earlier last month! Thanks to Ben his Examiner for the compliments on his driving. Brilliant result!

It was very cold this morning, would the snow & ice clear? Would Charlie's test go ahead? Thankfully the sun came out, the temperature rose above freezing & we got the 'green light' for his test! Not been as nervous since his big brothers test several years ago, no need to worry, 6 driving faults (same as Oliver!) later & a little 'chat' from Lisa his Examiner & he gets the all important certificate! Just got to sort some insurance out now! Great result & Charlie keeps the family tradition of first time passes!

Monday 13th December dawned grey & wet, but it didn't dampen the occasion for Millie Wright! Even the early test at 8.10am! (thankfully weather was mild so no frost & no chance of cancelling it!) Mick, her examiner was in fine form too. Came back with 8 faults overall, could have driven better, but got the result we came for! Couldn't be more pleased for Millie, it might have taken her a while due to circumstances, but like like her goal to become a doctor, it does take time!

Well, what can I say! December 16th & finally Chloe Heath has only gone & done it! Exactly one year since she took her 1st test, Chloe has passed her test & what a pass, just 2 faults! Brilliant result & I'm so pleased for her! Shopping for a car starts now!

Saw this drive into supermarket car park & had to take a quick 'snap'! By the owners admission, its not perfect, could do with a proper paint-job, but just great to see one being used & not tucked up in a cosy garage!

Really sorry for the delay on this! Tuesday 18th January saw Rob Morgan arrive at the test center in Chesterfield for his test, always a nervous time as anything can happen, but no worries, Rob passed with 6 faults. Not a bad result, one that you can see Rob is rather pleased about. It's taken a lot to get here, with lock-downs & postponements, but it certainly been worth the wait. Well done Rob!

So, way back in 2019 Giovanni Walters started having lessons with me, he'd done an intensive course, but wasn't happy with his progress, etc. So, fast forward to today 2nd February 2022 & via 2 lock-downs, failed tests, cancelled tests, expired theory tests, he's finally only gone & done it!! Couldn't be more happy (& relieved) with his result! Well done!!!

Congratulations must go to Kara Hawkins who on Saturday 5th Feb passed her test at the second time of asking. Brilliant result, especially as Kara only had a few lessons with me in the Giulietta, her regular Instructor, Dean had a family funeral to attend (our condolences to him) so I had a couple of slots I was able to open up for Kara. She's already got herself a car too. Great result! Well done!

I think my photography skills are getting worse! Anyway here is Jack Mumford who managed to get a cancellation test rather than wait till July! It all worked out fine for him with a few minor errors, but he did more than enough to get the result he wanted! Great result, been a pleasure to help you through!

A little delayed, but......! So here is a more than happy Sam Milward, who started lessons back in October last year, steady progress and determined effort helped him pull off a first time pass with just 3 faults! No more laborious bus rides to Mansfield & work for Sam! It's been a pleasure Sam, a very deserved result!

Wednesday 20th April dawned bright and sunny, what a lovely day to take your driving test! So after a previous fail for observation on his manoeuvre, Rory Randall was determined not to fall at this hurdle today! 1 minor fault later & as you can see, Rory got the result he came for! Rory now has a spare set of 'L plates' if anyone is interested! Brilliant result, great student, well done Rory! (Mway next week!)

What a performance from James Bryan on Wednesday 27th March! Worthy of a driving 'Oscar' if there was such a thing! Any pre-performance nerves vanished once the curtain went up & James pulled off a fantastic result with a mere brace of driving faults. Brilliant result James, looking forward to a motorway session in the very near future!

No smiling face in this picture, but I'm confident Alex Linacre will have a smile from ear to ear, taking his test in his own car today Thursday 28th March he 'smashed it' & got a pass at the first attempt. So pleased to have been able to assist you Alex! Well done & a great result. Goes to show what team work can do - Alex, his dad & myself!

This is very overdue! But its also one of my favourites too. Darnell Saunders started lessons with me several years ago and life got in the way of completing it, so time moved on, a motorbike, a crash, change of job situation etc & here we are & after a couple of failed attempts, Darnell on May 4th 2022 (I know, the 4th was with him....!) passed & is now the proud owner of a blue practical driving certificate (& most likely by now his full licence will have arrived too!)
Just shows, never give up, you can reach your goals!

Claudia Risorto took her driving test on Thursday 19th May '22 & passed with just a few minor faults, Claudia has had her disappointments with previous tests, so it goes to show that determination and a desire to succeed pays off! It's been a pleasure to work with Claudia & I wish you all the very best in the future, driving & riding! Well done!
