On Thursday, nine Year 7 students journeyed to Redhill Academy to take part in the Dreadlock Alien Poetry Slam.
In just one week, these fabulous students created and rehearsed an original poem, transforming it into an Oscar-worthy performance. Throughout the process, they demonstrated Brookfieldās three core values: Respect (listening to and valuing each otherās suggestions), Resilience (rehearsing repeatedly and striving to improve each time), and Ambition (aiming to perform to the highest standards).
On the day, after taking part in a range of morning activities, including beatboxing, rhyming wars, and word games, they competed in the Poetry Slam and emerged victorious, achieving first place! š„
Well done, Team Loreclan!

Our future Year 7 students finished the week with more exciting Science lessons.
Throughout the week, they have experienced a wide range of subjects and activities, made new friends, and taken their first steps into secondary school life. Their enthusiasm, excellent behaviour, and positive attitude have been outstanding from start to finish.
They have all been a real credit to themselves and their primary schools, and we could not be prouder of how well they have embraced every opportunity.
We are excited to welcome them back in September and can't wait to see them begin the next stage of their journey with us.
Have a fantastic summer, Year 7 ā we look forward to seeing you soon! āļø
