This morning we had our final assembly of the year and there was so much to celebrate!

Firstly, a huge thank you to our PTFA and their help over the year. They have managed to raise over £2000 for our school which will go towards exciting events next year and resources for our classrooms.

Secondly, a huge well done to our attendance winners. Throughout the year, children have been gaining raffle tickets for attending everyday each week. Winners were then chosen by our head boy and head girl for their Amazon vouchers.

We also celebrated the staff who have been recognised for their outstanding efforts and contributions.

Finally, a huge well done to Red team for winning 2026 sport’s day.

A final message to all - have a lovely summer and we can’t wait to see you all back in September!

Sharman had a wonderful time decorating biscuits for their golden time reward.

As we are about to finish this year, the final touches have been made to our school values display. We had a wonderful local artist come in and bring our vision to life - she was fantastic and managed to stay focused even with a few inquisitive observers 🎨🖌️
These values were discussed during our kindness week and decided by our school community.

This will be a wonderful reminder when we return to school in September and take our next steps on our Walton Peak journey 🩵💙

Three more days and the summer holidays are certainly calling… 📞

Haven’t the days just flown by! A couple of weeks ago it was our wonderful summer fayre. An event where our community came together to celebrate getting closer towards the end of this academic year. We had bouncy castles, ice creams, motorbikes, stalls and stocks! 🏰🍦🧸🏍️💧

It was a wonderful day filled with the tempting smell of BBQ 🍔 and laughter - especially when Mrs Boler tested out the bouncy castle for our risk assessment!
Many children also became particularly involved when Mr. Parkinson was called into the stocks - some more than others.

A huge congratulations to Kara for her remarkably accurate counting on our guess the number of dienes in a jar competition. Just one away from the correct answer of 569!

Also, a huge thank you to our PTFA for all the events they have hosted this year and the wonderful impact their efforts have on all members of our community 💙🩵💙🩵

This week has been Walton Peak’s Kindness Week ❤️

Our pupils have been exploring kindness, respect and emotional wellbeing. Through discussions and activities, they have learned about the importance of kindness, how to recognise and respond to bullying, and what it means to live out our school values every day.

Children have also developed their understanding of emotions, how the brain works, and strategies to support their own wellbeing and that of others. We are incredibly proud of the thoughtful, caring and reflective way they have engaged with these important topics.

We were delighted to welcome Sarah Lamb to our school for engaging Natural Art workshops. The children explored creativity using natural materials, making beautiful natural art, nature crowns, and clay insects. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that inspired imagination and a love of nature.
