What a lovely afternoon we’ve had celebrating our smarties as they prepare to start school 🥹🎉

We’re so proud of them all, and will miss each and every one of them so, so much. But we know that they are all so ready for their next adventure, and we feel incredibly honoured to have been part of their journey.

A huge thank you goes to to our wonderful team, particularly Jess and Hollimae, for their hard work in preparing for today. You all did a fabulous job 💕

🎉 Celebrating our teams achievements 🎉

As you may be aware, a huge part of our ethos is that we all have a love for learning, and we provide so many opportunities for our team to develop their skills and knowledge. We are therefore so grateful to have a team of early years educators that all demonstrate their commitment to our ‘Love to Learn’ ethos.

We’re so incredibly proud to share the following updates:

✨ Abbi (Tots) has successfully completed her Level 2 Apprenticeship, achieving a distinction for her knowledge test as part of her End Point Assessment! We’re so proud of Abbi and everything she has achieved with us in just 18 months, and we look forward to seeing what’s next!

✨ Hollimae (Smarties and SEND support), Karen (Curriculum Lead), Helena (Tots) and Ella (Babies) have all successfully completed the Elklan Speech and Language support to Level 3. This specialist training further strengthens our ability to support children’s communication, ensuring every child has the best possible opportunities to develop their speech and language at the setting.

✨ We recently introduced our own Champion Awards programme which recognises not only consistently outstanding practice, but also a commitment to inspiring others as a mentor and ‘champion’ of different aspects of practice. There are several awards available for staff to achieve and our pilot award was ‘Quality Interactions’.

We are so pleased to share that Carol is the first to complete our Champion Awards programme! As a Quality Interactions Champion, Carol will continue act as a mentor, advocate and role model, championing high-quality practice, supporting colleagues to develop their own interactions, and helping us continue to provide the very best experiences for every child.

A huge well done to you all from everyone here at Tiny Tots.

We are proud to invest in our team’s professional development, ensuring we continue to provide the highest quality care and education for the children and families at Tiny Tots Day Nursery ☺️

A few weeks ago, some of the children planted sunflowers at nursery to celebrate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday, and to also help them learn about caring for and protecting the natural world 🌻

We’d love to see how your sunflowers are growing! If you have any photos to share, please add them to Tapestry or post them in our family Facebook group ☺️🌱📸

We can’t wait to see their progress! 🌻✨

In honour of David Attenborough’s 100th birthday, we wanted to share some examples of how our children are encouraged to develop love and respect for the natural world 😌🌿

This week the children have loved caring for our caterpillars, watching closely for changes and learning about the importance of being gentle, patient, and respectful towards living things. We also planted sunflower seeds and talked about what plants need to grow, helping children begin to understand their role in caring for nature and the environment around them.

Through experiences like these, and by exposing children to nature every day, they develop curiosity, awe, and a lifelong love of the natural world. This is something we believe is so important for our little as our world is quietly becoming more artificial.

Happy Birthday David Attenborough, and thank you for inspiring generations to protect and appreciate our planet ☺️🌎

At Tiny Tots Day Nursery, we’re building a team of practitioners who care deeply about how children learn, not just what they do. This isn’t a “just another nursery job.” It’s a place where your practice will grow, every single day.

If you’re the kind of practitioner who:

• Notices the small moments that matter
• Reflects on your interactions, not just your activities
• Wants to understand the why behind great teaching

…you’ll feel at home here.

What makes this different?

CPD and high-quality teaching aren’t extras, they’re the foundation of everything we do every day.

You’ll be part of a setting where:

• Professional development is built into your week
• Coaching, mentoring, and reflection are the norm
• High-quality interactions are expected, modelled, and continuously developed
• Child-led learning is protected, with intentional teaching that moves learning forward

We are a team for practitioners who want to get better, not stand still. We’re not looking for perfect but we are looking for people who are curious, reflective, and serious about their work.

If this sounds like the place for you, don’t hesitate to contact us for our application form!

We’re looking for two passionate early years educators (level 3 or above). We will consider candidates qualified to level 2 but there will be an expectation to start working towards the level 3 qualification within the first year of employment.

We’re offering full time roles (36-38 hours per week, all year round). We’re unable to offer term time or school hours roles at present.

Please note: Tiny Tots has a commitment to safeguarding children and therefore all positions are subject to pre-employment checks and a DBS check.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Lets look back on the Spring term... the term of all weathers! 🌧️❄️🌤️💨

Our team have thoughtfully supported children’s learning through wonderful invitations to learning, alongside warm, responsive interactions. As a result, children have engaged in deep-level learning whilst following their curiosities. This has allowed confidence grow, friendships to blossom, and so many meaningful moments of learning to unfold ☺️

✨ Our sustainability station collection for April 2026 ✨

We want to say a huge thank you to our parents and the local community for your continued support, and for our enormous collect of bottle tops and lids that were collected for us last month! A special shout out also goes to Bali Kaur for the incredible support 💛

These have already become wonderful loose parts in our environment, supporting imaginative play in the home corner, as extra maths resources and for inspiring transient art creations. It’s amazing how something so simple can spark so much creativity!

Reusing items in early years not only supports sustainability by reducing waste, but also encourages imagination and resourcefulness in children.

Loose parts exploration enhances skills across our curriculum, as it is child-led and supports learners to build their cognitive, social and emotional development. It also helps children to investigate, constructe deconstruct and engage with other and the world around them.

🌱 This month, as part of our Sustainability project, we’re collecting…

Any spare seeds, plant pots, or growing resources you no longer need. If you’re having a clear out and would be able to donate, we would be so grateful, so just let us know or drop it off at our ‘Sustainability Station’ in the entrance.

Additionally, if we have any parents/grandparents that would like to volunteer to do some planting with our children and team, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us ☺️

Thank you, as always, for being so supportive ☺️
