🌻| Sunflower competition

Residents can get creative this summer and enter a sunflower competition organised by Chesterfield in Bloom.

The competition has three categories:

1. Tallest sunflower (from top of soil to top of flower)

2. Sunflower with the largest flower head (diameter, or width)

3. Sunflower plant with the most flower heads

Category one and two need a photo of the sunflower along with a tape measure/ruler to prove the length.

Category three needs a photo that includes all the flower heads.

Why not keep a diary of the growth of your sunflower too? This could include:

- The date of sowing
- Drawings/photos of how the sunflower grows
- How it is watered and looked after
- A drawing/photo of the final result

Certificates will also be awarded for the best diaries.

This online competition is open until Wednesday 30 September.
