A huge well done to all of our children for their fantastic efforts in earning Dojo points this year! πŸ‘βπŸŽŠ

The children have enjoyed spending their hard-earned Dojos on some wonderful experiences this term:

πŸ«–πŸͺ Years 3/4 – Afternoon Tea β˜•πŸ°
⚽🌳🌞 Years 5/6 – Trip to the Park and Afternoon Tea πŸ«–πŸ°

It has been lovely to see the children enjoying these well-deserved rewards, making special memories with their friends and celebrating their positive attitudes, hard work and achievements throughout the term. πŸ˜ƒπŸŽ‰πŸ’™

A special thank you to Mrs Foulkes for organising these fantastic experiences for our children. πŸ™πŸŒŸ Your hard work has helped create lots of smiles, laughter and memorable moments! 😊✨🎈

πŸ¬πŸ˜‹ Miss Tooley would also like to confess that she thoroughly enjoyed the cheeky sweet treats and the opportunities to join the children on their visits out of school too! πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸŒ³β˜€οΈ It was wonderful spending time together and celebrating everyone's success. πŸ’™πŸŽ‰

πŸŽ“βœ¨ Year 6 Leavers' Assembly 2026 βœ¨πŸŽ“

On Wednesday, we came together to celebrate our wonderful Year 6 children as they reached the end of their primary school journey. ❀️🏫

The children shared two of their favourite school memories, received their 'Most Likely To Be…' certificates, yearbooks and BSL Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. πŸ†πŸ“šπŸ€Ÿ A highlight of the assembly was their recital of 'The Full Stop Day', alongside a selection of songs that perfectly captured this special moment. πŸŽΆπŸ“–πŸŽ€

There were smiles 😊, giggles πŸ˜‚, tears πŸ₯Ή, proud moments 🌟 and even some unforgettable dance moves πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί everything you would expect from this fantastic cohort! πŸŽ‰

Their journeys with us began at different times. Some started in Nursery back in 2018 πŸ‘Ά, others joined in Reception in 2019 πŸŽ’, and some became part of the NWPS family more recently. No matter when they joined us, they have all played an important role in our school community. β€οΈπŸ€—

Every member of our team who has taught them along the way has enjoyed watching them grow into the kind, resilient and ambitious young people they are today. 🌱✨ We have absolutely adored this cohort and, whilst we know they are ready for their next adventure πŸš€, we would happily keep them if we could! πŸ’™

A huge thank you to our families for joining us to celebrate your children. πŸ‘πŸ’• Thank you to the children and the Year 6 team for compiling such a wonderful assembly and thank you to our KS2 children for creating a fabulous Guard of Honour and giving Year 6 the send-off they deserved. πŸŽŠπŸŽ“πŸ™Œ

πŸ’™ Good luck, Year 6. This may be your full stop at NWPS, but it is also the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Once part of the NWPS family, always part of the NWPS family. πŸ’™πŸ“šβπŸ€

🍎πŸ₯• Food Power in Year 1 & Year 2! πŸ₯–πŸ₯›

Our Year 1 & 2 children have been exploring our exciting Food Power theme, learning all about where food comes from, healthy eating and the importance of a balanced diet. They discovered that food comes from plants and animals and learned how foods can be grouped into the five main food groups.

As their authentic outcome, the children created their own healthy meal plates, carefully selecting and labelling foods from all five food groups. We were amazed by the detail, creativity and thought that went into each one!

The finished food plates look incredibly realistic, and the children were proud to explain their choices and demonstrate their understanding of healthy eating. Well done! 🌟

Miss Haigh has sent me the Year 1 food plate photographs - I'm sure you'll agree that they look delicious.

πŸŒŸπŸ… Superstar Learner Day 2025–26 πŸ…πŸŒŸ

On Tuesday, our school was filled with excitement as we celebrated our annual Superstar Learner Day, which this year had a fantastic World Cup theme! πŸŒπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ With the World Cup recently finishing, our children embraced the football spirit through creativity 🎨, teamwork 🀝 and fun 😊.

Everyone was invited to come dressed in the colours of their favourite team 🚩, bringing a wonderful splash of colour and international celebration to the day. 🌈🌎

Throughout the morning, children enjoyed a range of football-inspired art and craft activities πŸŽ¨βœ‚οΈ. They also πŸ“ made delicious fruit smoothies on the Smoothie Bike, kindly provided by Mellors πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸŒπŸŽ, giving children the opportunity to blend their own healthy drinks while learning about the importance of nutrition πŸ₯—, exercise πŸƒ and healthy lifestyles πŸ’š.

The excitement continued into the afternoon with football themed games and activities on the playground πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ…πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ, alongside World Cup bingo.

A huge THANK YOU! πŸ™πŸ’™ to our wonderful school team for supporting the day and helping to create such memorable experiences for our pupils. 🌟 A very special thank you goes to Mrs Foulkes 🌷, whose hard work, organisation and enthusiasm made the day such a success.

Throughout the day, our children demonstrated fantastic teamwork 🀝, perseverance πŸ’ͺ, creativity 🎨 and enthusiasm ⭐ – all qualities of true World Cup champions πŸ† and Superstar Learners. We are so proud of every one of them! πŸ₯°πŸ‘

🌟✨ Superstar Learner Assembly 2026! ✨🌟

What a brilliant way to celebrate the end of an incredible school year! πŸŽ‰

A huge well done to everyone who received awards, achieved 100% attendance ⭐, earned their Red Band Learner status πŸ”΄ and was recognised as a Superstar Learner 🌟. We are so proud of all you have accomplished this year!

🌊πŸͺ™ A HUGE thank you to our amazing school community! πŸͺ™πŸŒŠ

On Tuesday 14th July, our Year 2 pupil Zachary completed his RNLI Coin Chase Challenge and we are delighted to share that an incredible Β£212.45 was raised for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution)! πŸ’™πŸš€

Following the success of his fundraising effort last year, Zachary once again showed fantastic determination and community spirit by organising the whole-school coin chase challenge. Children from across the school brought in spare coins and worked together to create the longest lines of coins in their classes. πŸ†βœ¨

A special thank you goes to Zachary and his Nanan, who carefully collected and banked every penny raised. πŸ‘πŸ’°

We are so proud of Zachary for supporting such a worthwhile charity that helps save lives at sea. 🌊🚀❀️

Thank you to everyone who donated and supported this wonderful fundraising event. Every coin really did make a difference! πŸͺ™πŸ’™

Our Reception class rounded off their first year at school with an assembly to parents based on their β€˜Flying High’ theme. Their goal was to blow the roof off with their singing and they nearly did! The songs focused on friendship and their growing independence. They all spoke clearly about what they are proud of this year and they recited a poem about being ready for year 1. Miss Tarr’s photo montage to music at the end caused a few parents (and staff!) reaching for their tissues. The children then enjoyed a well deserved iced lollipop on the grass afterwards.
We have had a fabulous Reception class this year and we are extremely proud of every single one of them. They will definitely β€˜fly high’ as they move through school.
