Claire is an accomplished saxophonist and clarinettist originally from the North East of England and studied music at The University of Sunderland. At the age of 15 she became a frequent member of BBC Big band of the year, Musicians Unlimited, under the direction of Mick Donnelly. And become voted leader of Musicians Unlimited Youth Jazz Orchestra. Along side Big Band, Claire was also a member of
Northern Ska Outfit ‘The G-Men’ performing throughout the north. The band gained notoriety throughout Europe with a special following from the good people of Germany. Claire continued her studies at Birmingham City University; here she gained her PGCE in Music for Secondary Education. Through all of this Claire has continued to teach, working with The Northern School of Music and in secondary schools across the country.
