This afternoon the toddlers have been exploring the garden in the rain!☔️
We spoke about the different coloured clouds and why we need to put a coat on in the the rain. The children all really enjoyed watching the rain and exploring the garden…the toddlers all did amazing sharing with the toys and listening when to come underneath the shelter.
Well done guys!☺️

Today the Ivy room has had a fun filled farm day!🐥🐖

We had a farm messy play tuff spot which encouraged the children to use their imaginative skills. From the tuff spot the babies also learnt new animal sounds, “quack, oink, moo, neigh, baa” some of the babies even repeated these!🐥🐖🐑🐔

Then we have had our sensory table out to encourage the babies to learn through new textures and sounds, we loved shaking our new sensory bottles!

In the cosy corner, we had some farm themed books and puppets. The babies really enjoyed having a go with putting the puppets on their hands and having a go at imitating them.

Well done babies, we’ve had such a brilliant day!

We are looking to have the work completed at the earliest possible opportunity, so we would be grateful for recommendations from anyone who may have availability in the near future.

This morning the orchid babies have been doing some water play!

We had a tray filled water, shaving cream and ice cream toys on one side of the tray and water and sea animals on the other side of the tray. The babies used their fine motor skills to scoop, pour and play with the water.💧🍦

Some of the babies used key words to describe the tray, “ice cream, water, cold, scoop, swim”

The tray was so fun, even some of the preschoolers decided to join in!

Well done babies, thank you for such a lovely morning!☺️

🐛🦋 Exciting news for Preschool! 🦋🐛

Our caterpillars have arrived at nursery, and we’re very excited to watch them grow and change! The children have already been enjoying looking at them and learning about the butterfly lifecycle.

One of our caterpillars has already started to hang upside down, ready to make its chrysalis! 😍

We can’t wait to watch them transform into beautiful butterflies and see what happens next! 🦋🌸

We’ll keep you updated on their progress! 💕

Solar Eclipse Day.

Tonight, between 6-7pm we will see the biggest Solar Eclipse in 29years. This is something we may not see again for a number of years.

Here are some activities you could do at home with your little ones, please remember to be safe and never look at the Sun directly. Use proper solar Eclipse glasses, or look into other safe methods of seeing the Eclipse.

Pop some photos below of what your doing to get involved with this moment in history, or your pictures of tonight's eclipse...

Today the Ivy babies have been exploring new activities. It has supported their mark making skills and even their motor skills.
We have learnt new vocabulary within these activities and had a wonderful day.
- car wash 🚗🫧🧼
- mark making ✏️

The first activity the babies participated in was a mark making and a baking. Where the children was able to use their fingers to draw pictures within the flour and use the rolling pin with play dough to create a cake. We used vocabulary like “bake” “round” and “circle”. This help to improve the children’s physical development with their drawing and writing.

The babies enjoyed this activity and enjoyed creating pictures.

We then made a car wash for the children to clean their cars. The babies loved to splash in the water and to use the sponges to put water on their cars. We showed the babies how to squeeze the water out of the sponge creating a fall of water. We loved the water play.
We used new vocabulary like “splash, squeeze, wash”. 🧽

We are so excited to explore more fun activities.

Baby Bloom 🎶

This week has been a fabulous week as Ivy and Orchid have participated in different activity, one of these were Baby Bloom.

This theme of baby bloom was music. The children were able to dress up as singers as they had microphones and sunglasses which really brought it all to life. The children really enjoyed looking at the lights which helped their sensory exploration and also loved when the bubbles came out. They were popping and dancing around them.

Their key words we were investigating was: Pop, Loud, Quiet, Shake. The children were then able to reach for the stars under the parachute which really captivated them and be more engaged. All the children absolutely adored Baby Bloom and are super engaged with it all. It is so lovely to see each child blossom with each musical activity.

This was a fabulous week, we are excited to see what the children get up to next week. 😊
