Bridge the Gap tutoring

Bridge the Gap tutoring, is, in a nutshell...

Academic tutoring and home school support network. Email [email protected]

Upper ks2 ks3/4 tutoring in many subjects with a combined experience of over 20 years in teaching!

Operating as usual

Thinking about offering adult support sessions for those adults returning to university or college after a break and wanting some practice and practical solutions to balancing study and home life!

I did college with 3 under 5 and a degree with 3 school age children and a pt job!

I now teach and have 15 years experience, Iโ€™ve also given help to many friends /family who were struggling with assignments, managing time and delivering their best academically!

Iโ€™m just putting the feelers out there to see who would be interested ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Group sessions of maximum 5 people would be around ยฃ8 per person per session per week, with follow up group support.

Locally or online.

What do people think??? Would you or someone you know use this service?

Always expanding my knowledge.... I went to Leeds Art Gallery today and had the pleasure of walking around the Eileen Agar exhibition.

This quote sums up my approach to teaching... through play and expanding the imagination through fun and accessible activities ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

This is Rachel.... the face behind the name and the founder of Bridge the Gap tutoring.

A little bit about me...

An educator for over 16 years with experience of working from ks2-ks4 as well as a youth worker.

Iโ€™m an absolute advocate for education and understand that not all children learn the same way!

Having 3 daughters at an early age and close together, seeing how their learning styles differed, first alerted me to the challenges that can be faced, 23 years ago I decided to put my children in a Montessori setting for reception and this has moulded my teaching style too...

An emphasis on hands-on independent learning. ...
Enhanced social interaction. ...
A cultivated love for learning. ...
Inclusive of special needs. ...

My specialism is alternative provision education and my specialist subject is English, however as a supply teacher for many years (and a geek who loves to learn) I have a back catalogue of subject knowledge, from Science to media and even music!

I love to teach, to engage young minds and watch them grow, not just for academic purposes, but for personal achievements.

I am calm, patient and consistent with my approach, I provide a safe, enjoyable environment to learn and I get such great feedback from all of my pupils.

The main compliment I receive is, I found that easy, because of the way you explained it, you made it fun, so I wanted to do it and I remembered it!

Young minds are complex and having the knowledge and expertise to help navigate through a full and valued education is key to what I do...

I have worked in social care settings and for counselling services for children and young people, offering early intervention talk time sessions therefore with this experience, my experience as a teacher and being a parent myself I can confidently say that your child will have a positive outcome after sessions with myself or one of my colleagues.

If you have received home tutoring, online lockdown lessons or I have taught your child, please can you leave an honest review on my page ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ“š
