Follow Santa Claus as he makes his magical journey around the world!
Well it’s been an extremely busy half term
at Henry Bradley Infant School.
We have had 5 Christmas performances, lots of Christmas jumper days 😂🎅🏼, Christmas lunch, party lunch, 6 Christmas parties, Santa managed to make it to see the children, we had a Christmas fayre, Christmas disco, a trip to the panto, and to top it off a wedding ceremony in Reception and a keystage one trip to the pictures!
So after all that, it’s time for the staff to have a rest, and hand over to the parents for a couple of weeks!
I wish you all a Merry Christmas. I hope you all make lots of memories with your little sweethearts. I look forward to hearing all about it on Monday 8th January!💕
Take care everybody!
We had a fabulous time at the Panto!
OH YES WE DID!!!!!!
It’s such a privilege to take all of the children (from reception to year 2) I get to see all of their little faces, their expressions, and them shouting at the top of their voices! Love it!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Christmas lunch today! I love this time of the year!! 🎅🏼🎅🏼
Join us on Christmas Eve ⭐️

Bring all the family to join the fun!
Everyone is welcome.
A big thank you to all of you joined us at our Christmas Fayre yesterday. We managed to raise £675 for the school funds which will go towards outdoor playground equipment. It was lovely seeing you all! We hope you enjoyed it!
Thank you very much to all of the stall holders for joining us too and helping us make this a successful event.
Ready for our Christmas Fayre!
We can’t wait to see our families!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼
Awww look at this from one of the Christmas Fayre stallholders💕💕
Don’t forget the families of Henry Bradley that it is our Christmas Fayre tomorrow. Hopefully if weather allows, there will be some stalls outside, so wrap up warm.
It starts at 2pm. Go to your child’s usual entrance.
Stall holders to arrive at 1pm to set up please.
There will be a Santa’s Grotto, games, some stalls, tombola, and lots more.
Don’t forget children to wear Xmas outfits for school, don’t go out and buy anything if they haven’t got a Christmas outfit, just put them in non uniform.
I look forward to seeing you all.
Don’t forget to do this.
If you already have your code to apply for 30 hours free childcare, remember to reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months. If you apply more than 3 months before the term starts, you’ll have to reconfirm your eligibility in your account to keep your code valid. The deadline for spring term is 31 December: https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/
Our Christmas Fayre for our Henry Bradley families starts at 2 on Friday 8th December.
If anybody would like a stall, please get in contact with us, we would love to welcome you.
If you would like to attend and you are not one of our families, you are welcome to attend from 3:05 when all children will have gone to parents.
We have lots of stalls already, including gorgeous crochet gifts, beautiful wreaths, cakes, a coffee cart, face painting, games and activities for your child, the traditional tombola, and lots more.
We also have a Santa’s grotto.
The fayre will be indoor and outdoor, so get wrapped up!
Can’t wait to see you all!!! 👏🏼👏🏼
Another brilliant community event taking place tomorrow. 👏🏼👏🏼💕💕
It was lovely to see familiar and new faces tonight at the “all about me session” for our January new starters tonight.
I hope the session and the time in nursery was valuable.
See you soon at the stay and play session!
FESTIVE FUN AT VICAR LANE! 🎄
FOR ONE DAY ONLY, we will have a very special visitor roaming around Vicar Lane. At intervals between 10am-4pm, Snowy the polar bear is back this year, to spread Christmas cheer. Make sure to come along to say hello, snap some festive selfies and have a ‘bear-y’ merry time.
Plus! Take part in our personalised bauble workshop. You'll have the chance to personalise an ornament with your name, which will be the perfect keepsake to take home and hang on the tree. The workshop will be located next to Waterstones and no advance booking is required, so you can turn up and jump straight into the fun! Subject to availability.
Thank you for the lovely words that lots of you have sent via dojo or Facebook about Mrs Corker, I’m trying to see if I can create a tribute book for her family, your comments will be put in there.
If you would like to do this and you haven’t had chance yet, please do so before next Friday.
The current school family have already been told this devastating news but I know lots of you in the community will have been taught by Mrs Corker in the past, and I felt it only right to let people know that sadly she has passed away.
Mrs Corker was one of Henry Bradley’s long-standing teachers. She taught here for over 20 years and only recently retired in July 2022. This devastating news has come as a great shock to the whole team.
If you have any fond memories of Mrs Corker that you would like to share with us, please feel free to message me and I will collate them all and share with her family. Thank you to those of you who have already done this. Also if anybody has any photos, I would really appreciate them, these will then also be used for a tribute book that I will be giving to Mrs Corker’s family.
We are all heartbroken at the loss of a fantastic colleague. I am sure your thoughts will be with her husband, children and grandchildren at this sad time.
A reminder that Anti-Bullying Week kicks off tomorrow with , where children and adults wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.
As I watch the Remembrance Sunday service on tv, I thought I’d share a few parts of the one we did with the keystage one children.
I believe it’s so important that children know about what happened in the past and why we now wear poppies.
The class teachers were asked to choose a poem for the children to learn so they could perform. They didn’t have very long to do this so I was very impressed!
They definitely showed the school value of confidence.
If I can work out how to block out children’s faces who don’t have permission, I’ll put the videos on too. If not they will go on dojo tomorrow.

We have got the little sweetheart in school.
Hope you have all had a great holiday with your little treasures.
School is back tomorrow.
I know Halloween has been and gone but we did our Big Dreams dress up day just before the holiday so tomorrow is the first opportunity to have a Halloween dress up day!
So tomorrow your child is invited to dress up in their Halloween costumes. Please don’t worry if they don’t want to, this is supposed to be fun for your child/ren, if it’s not don’t worry about it.
See you tomorrow!
