☔ A bit of a wet start to our first full day back, but it has been wonderful to welcome everyone back to Bishops'!

Students have spent today in form time settling in, reconnecting with friends and tutors, and preparing for the year ahead. One of the first things they received was their new student planner.

More than a diary, the planner is an important tool that helps students stay organised, set goals, monitor attendance, reflect on their progress and prepare for key events throughout the year. It also includes useful school information, our school prayer, uniform guidance and practical tips to help students succeed.

For tutors, the planner provides a valuable opportunity for regular check-ins, celebrating successes, identifying concerns early and strengthening relationships between school and home.

We are looking forward to seeing our students make the most of the opportunities ahead as they begin another exciting year of learning, growth and achievement.

Looking forward to welcoming the team from WeMindTheGap back to Bishops' soon!

Our WeInspire team are excited to share that we will be supporting young people and families at 4 Chester secondary schools this term!

We are looking forward to welcoming new groups, as well as our alumni students, at our 3 existing schools:
💛 The Catholic High School, Chester;
💛 The Bishops’ Blue Coat Church of England High School; and
💛 Queen’s Park High School.
This year, we will also be supporting students at a 4th school, 💛 Blacon High School!

Next week, we will be visiting all of our schools, ready to begin delivering our 12-week WeInspire programme throughout the autumn term.

is our nurturing programme for 11-15-year-old which supports them to make the most of their time at school/ who are struggling with traditional education and have gaps in their attendance and/or engagement. We work with schools to create a sense of value and belonging for students, reconnecting them with, and reframing the purpose of, the school experience. We are proud that WeInspire is funded by Westminster Foundation in Chester schools.

What an incredible achievement! 🎉

Will Taylor and his dad, Alex, have walked 86 miles along Hadrian's Wall over five days this summer, battling the heat every step of the way to raise money for Time Away.

Time Away provides whole-family respite breaks for families of children living with life-changing medical conditions, offering valuable time together when it matters most.

They are now within touching distance of their £2,500 target. Let's help them cross the finish line.

If you can spare a few pounds, please consider donating and sharing their story. Together, we can help more families enjoy precious moments away from the challenges they face every day.
