One of the biggest worries parents tell me is... "What if my child is too shy?" 💛

That's absolutely fine, and very common. Many of our children arrive nervous, and that's exactly who our classes are designed for.

We start with games, nobody is put on the spot, and every activity is offered gently. Confidence grows through small wins, at each child's own pace.

What does a first class actually feel like? 🎭

Warm-up games, a freeze frame or two, and plenty of laughing. Every game builds confidence, teamwork and imagination, and no drama experience is needed.

We start with games to help everyone settle in, move into pair and group work that builds trust, and every activity is offered gently, no pressure to perform. Confidence builds through consistency and small wins, not being pushed into the spotlight.

This is why children who arrive shy often leave buzzing.

For our birthday month, the first 10 new students get their first class completely free, a handful of spots left.

They don’t need to be confident to start. ❤️

One of the biggest misconceptions about drama classes is that they’re only for children who are already confident, outgoing or comfortable performing.

They’re not.

At HSPA, we give children the space to have a go, be creative, find their voice and build confidence at their own pace.

For some children, confidence might mean performing in front of a group.

For another, it might simply mean joining in, sharing an idea or trying something new.

Those little moments matter. ✨

What actually happens in a drama class? 🎭

We play. We create. We imagine. We perform.

But behind all that fun, something else is happening too…

Children are building confidence, learning to express themselves, working with others and discovering what they’re capable of. ✨

And the best bit? They don’t need any previous experience to join us.

If your child loves being creative, enjoys performing at home, or simply needs somewhere to come out of their shell, we’d love to welcome them to HSPA this September.
