AFRICAN DRUMMING AND CIRCUS SKILLS WORKSHOPS - RICHMOND SCHOOL STUDENTS LEARN NEW SKILLS! - Richmond School & Sixth Form College Areté Learning Trust is a relatively new trust, established when Stokesley School converted to academy status in April 2015. Since then we have been joined by Richmond School and Northallerton School.

On Wednesday the children enjoyed an African dance session led by Red Panda School Workshops. They were taught the style and moves of some traditional Ugandan dances which were accompanied by a drum and the music “Jambo Bwana”. All of the children thoroughly enjoyed it and were fully engaged in their learning. Later this half term Year 2 will be making up their own African dances based on the moves that they have been taught and will be performing them to each other.
