A little reminder to come visit us tomorrow morning ⭐ we'll be here from 9:30-11:30 and can't wait to hear your results 🥰

Results Day is nearly here! 🎉🤞

A little throwback to last year’s Results Day… and what a morning it was! 🥹❤️ We were so incredibly proud of our students - there were plenty of smiles, celebrations and definitely a few happy tears!

To all of our students collecting results this Thursday, we’ll be at the office from 9:30–11:30am and would absolutely love you to pop in and tell us how you’ve done!

We know how much hard work has gone into getting to this point, and we’re already incredibly proud of every one of you.

Fingers crossed for Thursday! 🤞🍀 We can’t wait to see you and hear your results! ❤️

Photos from Tailored Tuition's post 18/08/2026

I’ve been meaning to share these photos for weeks, but I’m not sure I’ve ever quite found the words ❤️

When we decided to organise a Home Ed Prom, I hoped it would be a lovely evening.

I didn’t realise quite how much it would mean.

I spoke to young people who genuinely believed they would never have a prom. For some, their experience of secondary school had been incredibly difficult. Some had left mainstream education years earlier. Some had taken a completely different path to get to the same finishing line.

And I think that’s why the evening felt so special.

It wasn't about recreating a typical school path.

It was about giving them the ending they deserved.

Watching them arrive dressed up, seeing friendships being made, hearing the room get louder as everyone relaxed, and eventually seeing a packed dance floor was something I’ll remember for a very long time.

There was a real feeling of we made it.

And they had.

They had made it through GCSEs, through difficult days, through changes of plan and paths they probably never expected to take.
That deserved celebrating.

So, very belatedly, here are some of the photos from our first Home Ed Prom. ❤️

And I’m very happy to say our first definitely won’t be our last.
We’re going to make this an annual event, and I already can’t wait to do it all again.

To every young person who came: thank you for trusting us with such an important night.

I hope, when you look back at these photos, you remember just how much you had to be proud of. ✨

A few remaining mock exam sessions, with groups of no more than four students. That means plenty of individual support, a realistic exam experience, and detailed feedback from tutors who know the 11+ inside out.

These are the only remaining dates this summer, with just one or two spaces left:
- Thursday 30th July,
- Thursday 6th August,
- Tuesday 18th August,
- Tuesday 25th August,
- Thursday 27th August,

Hopefully we'll see some of you over the next few weeks! 😊

When this student joined us in Year 10, he'd already been through a few schools. Mainstream education just hadn't been the right fit. He just needed somewhere to build his confidence and learn in a way that worked for him.

From the very beginning, he was an absolute pleasure to teach. Always making us laugh, asking questions and giving everything a go. Together, we took his GCSEs at a pace that worked for him. Spreading them over two years meant he could focus on one step at a time without unnecessary pressure. It wasn't about lowering expectations – it was about giving him the best chance to show what he was capable of.

Over those two years he achieved more than five GCSEs, spent one day a week at college alongside his studies, and has grown into such a confident young man. Watching that journey has been a privilege.

Then he sent us this...
"Thank you very much for everything you guys have done for me. You really changed my life for the better and I will never forget it."

There aren't many words that mean more than that.

We often spend so much time worrying about whether we're doing enough for our students. Every now and then, a message like this reminds you just how much those relationships really matter.

We couldn't be prouder of everything he's achieved, but even more than the GCSEs, we're proud that he leaves us believing in himself.

To every family who feels like school just isn't working for their child... please don't lose hope.

There isn't one path to success, and there isn't one environment where every young person thrives. Every student deserves to feel understood and valued, and when they do, amazing things can happen.

We're so proud of you, and we genuinely can't wait to see where life takes you next. ❤️

Maths Links - Summer 2026 GCSE Maths Practice Papers 27/05/2026

For all of our students sitting GCSE Maths this summer, this website is honestly one of the best revision tools out there over the next couple of weeks:
https://www.mathslinks.co.uk/summer-2026-gcse-maths-practice-papers

It’s updated after each paper, so students can focus on the topics that are still likely to come up on Papers 2 and 3 rather than revising absolutely everything.

There are loads of practice papers for different exam boards, and it’s a really good way of revising smarter this week when you don't want to revise for longer.

I know it’s difficult to stay motivated when the weather is this nice ☀️ but even doing one targeted paper or focusing on a few key topics can make a huge difference going into the final exams.

Super useful for GCSE Maths student this summer.

We’ve had a few questions about changes to the 11+ recently, so we just wanted to share a quick update 💬

The assessment is moving from the familiar GL format to Quest.

While that might sound like a big change, the most important thing to know is:
👉 The core skills being tested are still the same
• Maths
• Verbal reasoning
• Non-verbal reasoning

At Tailored Tuition, our approach hasn’t changed - we continue to focus on building strong foundations, confidence, and exam technique across all three areas ✔️
To support students with the new format, we’ve opened bookings for our 📝 11+ Mock Exams and Summer Workshops 🧠

These sessions are designed to:
• Help students feel comfortable with the new style
• Build confidence in a supportive environment
• Highlight strengths and areas to focus on

If you’d like more information or would like to book a place, feel free to message us or visit our website 😊

We’re here to support every step of the journey 💛
