As part of our celebration of this National Year of Reading we had our second author visit, today Rogan Mills spent the day with us 📖 📚 📕 🎭

We had lots of fun and inspiration from taking part and listening to Rogans storytelling and tales in the whole school, and each class, workshops 🐇 🐿️ 🦡 🦊

Squirrels class came outside to enhance our studies looking at changes in a river and its landforms as it flows along its course.
Great teamwork displayed!
Finished off with Orienteering and mastering the River Dance 💃

A project the children have been very excited about. Hopefully our new colony will settle in over the bank holiday and we will have a great chance to see some insect life cycles, supplementing our science topic.

Well we picked the weather for our first ‘Fishing for Families’ session today ☀️ 🎣

This is an excellent initiative with broad and long term benefits for children, their families and school. We will be continuing these sessions throughout the term to enable as many pupils as possible to participate 🐟

We loved taking our Geography lesson outdoors in the sunshine, learning in our local environment 🏡 🌳 ☀️
