Hi, I'm Amy and have recently (September 2024) launched AG Tutoring after 10 years as a primary school teacher. AG Tutoring will offer 1:1 (family options also availble) tutoring to primary age children who would benefit from that little extra support from a fully trained and experienced teacher in one or more areas of the primary curriculum.
During my time in the classroom, I have gained a wealth of experience including:
• Supporting children through the Year 6 SATS assessments
• Supporting children through the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check
• Teaching early reading. I am both 'Letters and Sounds' and 'Little Wandle' Phonics trained
• Teaching high quality English and Maths from EYFS to Year 6 and supported children to close attainment gaps.
• Supported children with additional needs as a Primary School SENDCO for 5 years.
• Fully DBS checked
• An extensive list of training and qualifications from an NPQSL and National SENDCo Award to AET Autism Training and Mental Health First Aid.
In addition to these experiences, I am also warm natured, patient, understanding and creative. I am excited to embark on this new Tutoring venture to support any children who would benefit from that little extra support in order to reach their full potential.
