What a fabulous day we had at Tarporley Carnival Parade! Faye & I could not have predicted it was going to be a heatwave but as they say, 'the show must go on' and we danced down the beautiful high street of Tarporley! We certainly melted but it was so much fun! Thank you to our fantastic Dance Movers who took part in the parade; Ellie, Debbie, Pam, Katie, Denise, Cathy, Eileen, Christine, Sue, Joan, you were all amazing 💃

This week my Grandma, Jean, turned the grand age of 99! Here she is celebrating her birthday with her friends at the Grove Mount Residential Home, where she is well looked after 🙂

Grandma loved to dance, the age where people met one another at dances. How I would have loved this era, rather than the impersonal online way of meeting people today!!

Grandma kept dancing as long as she could, well into her 80s! When my Mum was little, Grandma would bring her to dance lessons and that is where my Mum's love of dancing grew!

Grandma and I shared many trips to Blackpool Tower to watch the fantastic Junior Dance Competitions and we both loved a Fish & Chips, on the beach if we were lucky with the weather!

Why not give seated movers a try you can have a free taster by coming along to the Mickle Trafford village hall on Tuesdays at 12.30 it’s fun and friendly we have a warm up and a cool down stretch at the end then a cuppa and a chance to chat , just message Nikki or email for more info or just turn up on the day , we would love to see you 🪑💃🏻

Fabulous last practice for Tarporley Carnival Parade on Saturday 11th July at 12.30, come and support the parade to keep this tradition going and give us a Yeeha!

Thank you to everybody who has volunteered to take part in the parade, including some of our fantastic Dance Movers, as well as meeting some great new people 😀you have all smashed the routines and we can't wait to dance down the high street with you👏🏻

Faye and I have really enjoyed working together and we hope it will be the first of many collaborations! It is great to support each other and our local businesses; "Competition makes us faster, Collaboration makes us better" 💃

We had to finish our practices where Faye & I have our power chats, At Charlys in their fantastic new premises, where Faye fell in love with an iced version of her favourite White Chocolate! Charly's will be open during the parade to help keep us all cool with their iced drinks, it's going to be a hot one! 🙏🏻
