We are so proud of our Year 11 girls today, celebrating outstanding GCSE results across an impressive breadth of subjects.

⭐80% of all grades at 9-6 (A*-B)
⭐58% at the highest GCSE grades of 9–7 (A*–A)

Seven subjects achieved 100% of grades at 9-6: Art, Classical Civilisation, Computing, French, Mandarin, Music and Religious Studies.

Congratulations girls 💛

What a morning! We are so incredibly proud of our Year 13s today, not only for these outstanding A-level results, but for everything they have achieved during their time at Queen’s.💛

☀️ Over half of all A-level grades at A*–A (51%)
☀️ 81% awarded at A*–B
☀️ 100% A*–B across 15 subjects
☀️ 73% of university places secured at Russell Group institutions

Students are now heading to some of the UK’s leading universities, including the University of Oxford, King’s College London, Durham University and the University of Manchester, to study everything from PPE, Engineering and Medicine to Cyber Security, Drama and Film Studies.

And these results tell only part of the story. Alongside achieving top grades, this year’s leavers have represented their country in sport, played Premier League hockey, completed Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards, led Model United Nations, presented award-winning sustainability work, volunteered in their communities and excelled in the performing arts. For so many, those achievements have gone hand in hand

We couldn’t be prouder of every single girl today.

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 ☀️: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲 ❤️🎭

Our Lower School production of Annie was a joy from start to finish. From the incredible set and costumes to the outstanding performances, every detail reflected weeks of enthusiasm, creativity and hard work.

One of the loveliest parts of the production was seeing our Juniors spending time in Senior School, rehearsing on the main stage. Supported by Seniors working behind the scenes on lighting, sound, stage management and set, it was the Queen’s whole-school community in action.

Big well done to everyone involved, both on stage and behind the curtain, and a special thank you to pupil Gwen for capturing these brilliant photos. 📸

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 ☀️: 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟭𝟬 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝘅𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱

Our Year 10 pupils spent a day at University of Oxford, the oldest university in the English-speaking world, touring Corpus Christi College and learning more about university life.

Whether students go on to Oxford, Cambridge, a Russell Group university or another path entirely, opening doors to future opportunities begins long before Sixth Form.

The results speak for themselves: last year, 100% of Queen's leavers secured places at their preferred-choice university, including almost 70% at Russell Group institutions.

Next up in our summer series: Lower School Sports Day ☀️ Thankfully the weather was a little kinder this time around. Tons of smiles, fun, encouragement and girls giving everything a go. House colours were out in force, and the parent races were every bit as enthusiastic 😉👏

Turns out when you’re busy finishing a school year, some rather great photos end up waiting their turn.

So over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing some of our favourite moments from across the summer term before we turn the page to September. ☀️

We’ll start where every great summer term should: Sports Day. A typically British mix of rain, hail and sunshine for our Senior School – but it didn’t dampen the fun, determination and House spirit. 👏

We are deeply saddened to hear the news of Ruthin School's closure and recognise the huge uncertainty this will create for many pupils and families.
