🍓🍋 Strawberry Lemonade Stand – Little Entrepreneurs at Work! 🧮🌱

Today our ‘Magpies’ ran their very own strawberry lemonade stall. From picking the strawberries and sweet peas to squeezing lemons and mixing up the perfect drink, they did it all themselves💪💛

They also gained hands-on experience with real money – recognising coins, handling change, and learning about the value of different amounts. Through meaningful play, they’re developing early maths skills, confidence with numbers, and a real-world understanding of how money works.

This is what we mean when we say we’re a play based setting. This was the perfect mix of nature, nurture, and numbers! 🌟

Thank you so much for the overwhelming outpour of love and congratulations following our most recent Ofsted news.

Unfortunately our waiting list is completely full and we have made the difficult decision to stop responding to enquiries for now. It’s me (Elle) who deals with all the admin for the business and I’m finding it difficult at the moment to keep up with expressions of interest. All my admin is done outside of my work hours, so it just isn’t possible to respond to everyone, especially as we don’t currently have any spaces to fill. I’m really sorry to those of you I already haven’t gotten back to.

We forsee the waiting list opening back up closer to September time when we have some children leave us for school, and will be sure to contact those already on the list first when spaces do become available.

We are so immensely proud to share the findings of our latest Ofsted inspections last month. As we both are fully registered childminders we are inspected separately, resulting in two reports.

The Nature Nest are OUTSTANDING in all areas 💫

Whilst I don’t for a minute believe Ofsted get the full picture in a one-day snap shot, it does feel incredible to have the dedication to our work recognised and I think these reports speak for themselves 💛

There is so much to learn from snow, and it was a privilege to bear witness to some of the children’s first ever experiences of snow 🤍🩵

There’s something so beautiful about being able to witness the relationships between our very youngest and our seasoned Nature Nesters unfold 🩷
