Due to expansion our nursery is looking for a new member of staff to support our setting. Full time and part time applicants considered. A Level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential for this role; someone who is dynamic; has the ability to work as part of a team; be able to use their initiative and time manage the day effectively to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established team and to work closely with the Nursery Manager, the management team and the Owner.
The nursery has an excellent reputation and we want to maintain the excellent standards.
We are looking for someone who is dedicated, experienced and focused on delivering excellent standards of care with a natural ability to work as part of a team and always be willing to go above and beyond.
Essential Requirements (All can be obtained by the Nursery)
~ DBS certificate/ Clean criminal record
~ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
~ Paediatric First Aid certificate
~ Safeguarding children certificate
We are also looking for someone who....
Can give countless of cuddles and make our little bears feel unique and special.
Has a friendly face and isn’t afraid to laugh at jokes which make no sense at all!
To go above and beyond creating the most exciting learning environment for our little bears.
Someone who can think outside the box... paper and pens are just boring!
Someone who loves being outside, jumping in puddles, caring for animals and climbing trees

At Sandy Bears we always use real butter or olive oil. We haven’t ordered any form of vegetable oil etc in years on our shops.

Urgent Allergy Alert. We are advising people who have a peanut allergy to avoid consuming foods or drinks that contain or may contain mustard, mustard powder or mustard flour.

These mustard ingredients can be found in food such as dips, sauces, salads and pre-packed sandwiches.

The FSA is urgently working with the relevant Local Authorities, individual businesses and industry to identify which products may be affected. We have traced the contaminated mustard ingredients to a producer in India and have identified one company who has supplied these ingredients for use in UK food.

As a precaution, we are advising consumers who have an allergy to peanuts to avoid consuming any foods or drinks that contain or may contain mustard. If mustard is present in a food, it will be labelled in bold on the packet because it is an allergen itself. If there is a risk that mustard could be unintentionally present in food there will be a ‘may contain’ label for mustard.

If you are eating out, please ask the cafe or restaurant staff if any of their products contain mustard – by law, food businesses must provide this information to customers.

Our sessions are filling up fast!... 🌿🐻

It’s that time of year again when mini eggs are lining the supermarket shelves. But, did you know that, just like grapes, they are the perfect size to block a small child’s airway and choke them? And, their hard shell can make it difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques.

With whole grapes we advise cutting them in half lengthways and ideally into quarters to create thin strips. But chopping up mini eggs isn’t as easy. So, what can you do?

1. Hide them from the children and eat them yourself – good luck with that!

2. Put the mini eggs into a sealable plastic bag and smash them into small pieces with a rolling pin. Or, crush them in a pestle and mortar.

3. Opt for a different treat. Larger, hollow eggs are much safer for little ones.

We are looking for someone who wants to complete an apprenticeship as a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner at out Sandy Bears Tattenhall site.

The apprenticeship will be fully funded by our company and the successful candidate will learn from a very 'hands on' approach, with the support and guidance from our amazing and knowledgeable well-established team :)

🎄 Our wonderful team got together on Saturday for our staff Xmas night out. We ate amazing food, enjoyed many cocktails and Prosecco, sang karaoke and danced the night away!
A massive thanks to neighbourhoodbakehouse for having us!! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to host- what a fun night with amazing people!!
