*CLOSING DATE FOR ALL APPLICANTS IS FRIDAY 7TH AUGUST 2026*
Due to successfully filling our Veterinary Care Assistant role and one of our 2nd year students finishing college, we are delighted to offer the opportunity to train with us as an Apprentice Student Veterinary Nurse or 2nd year Student Veterinary Nurse.
Taking up the position you will be trained by our Head Veterinary Nurse/Clinical Coach, working alongside our Registered and Student Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Care Assistants to help us to provide an outstanding level of care to our client and patients, as well as undertake general housekeeping and husbandry tasks. You will attend weekly lessons provided by Chester Veterinary Training Centre and complete coursework & assessments to gain the qualification Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, allowing you to join the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons register. The course lasts 30-36 months, (this will differ for second year students).
We are looking for someone who would like to begin or continue their nursing care career, who can thrive here and someone who can also show they have the drive and commitment to provide the same level of care we would want for our own pets.
Hours will be discussed at interview and can be flexible for the right candidate. We are, however, looking for a candidate who can work at least 30-34 hours per week with shifts varying between 8:30am - 7:30pm Monday - Friday and 9am - 1:30pm Saturdays.
Candidates must be at least 16 years of age, will require 5 GCSE’s at grades 9-4/A*-C, to include Maths, English Language and Science.
Please email a CV and covering letter to [email protected] to be considered.
*Please note that as this is an apprenticeship position, on a fixed term contract and as such on completion of the course there is no guarantee of your contract being extended. However, this will be reviewed depending on the needs of the practice.*
