Last week in Lower School we explored different types of transport and worked together to sort them into groups. We talked about how and where different forms of transport are used and shared our ideas.
We have also started creating our own maps of our Forest School area, thinking about how Little Red Riding Hood might have used the woodland to find her way to Grandma’s house. We’ve been developing our observation, sorting, map-making and communication skills while having lots of fun learning through our Little Red Riding Hood theme!

Our children had a fantastic time during their tennis session with Nia! They enjoyed learning lots of new skills, building their confidence and having fun along the way. We’re looking forward to the next few weeks and seeing their skills continue to develop!

Our School Council are loving their new roles and have been busy listening to the children across school about what they would like to see.

After gathering ideas, they spent time researching where to purchase some exciting new outdoor equipment using money raised through their fundraising efforts.

It’s fantastic to see our pupils having a real voice in school and helping to make decisions that will benefit everyone. Well done, School Council!

Lower School enjoyed a wonderful first Forest School session this morning.
We started by talking about our Forest School rules and how we can keep ourselves, each other and nature safe. We then enjoyed a story and a special treat 🍪. We finished our session with some games.

We can't wait for our next session 🌿

What a fantastic start to the new school year! Lower School have settled in brilliantly and are enjoying their new classroom, getting to know their new routines and making new friends. It has been lovely to see happy faces, enthusiasm and excitement.

Last week Lower School went on a fabulous trip to Magical Malpas where they had lots of fun brushing the donkeys and goats and having a picnic. Then as part of their 'When I Grow Up' topic they spent time exploring the fantastic role play village. Everyone had lots of fun!

Dear Families,

Due to the extremely hot weather we are currently experiencing, and with temperatures forecast to rise even further later this week, we have made the difficult decision to cancel both the School Disco on Thursday and Sports Day on Friday afternoon.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our children, staff and families must always come first. After carefully considering the forecast conditions, we feel it would not be safe or enjoyable for children to take part in these events in such high temperatures.

We know many children will be disappointed, particularly those who have been looking forward to Sports Day and the Disco. We are therefore hopeful that both events can be rearranged for a later date, and we will share further information as soon as possible.

At this stage, we are still hoping to go ahead with the Summer Fayre on Friday afternoon as planned. However, we will continue to monitor the weather closely and will provide a further update later in the week.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we respond to the changing weather conditions.
