Last week Lower School went on a fabulous trip to Magical Malpas where they had lots of fun brushing the donkeys and goats and having a picnic. Then as part of their 'When I Grow Up' topic they spent time exploring the fantastic role play village. Everyone had lots of fun!

Dear Families,
Due to the extremely hot weather we are currently experiencing, and with temperatures forecast to rise even further later this week, we have made the difficult decision to cancel both the School Disco on Thursday and Sports Day on Friday afternoon.
The health, safety and wellbeing of our children, staff and families must always come first. After carefully considering the forecast conditions, we feel it would not be safe or enjoyable for children to take part in these events in such high temperatures.
We know many children will be disappointed, particularly those who have been looking forward to Sports Day and the Disco. We are therefore hopeful that both events can be rearranged for a later date, and we will share further information as soon as possible.
At this stage, we are still hoping to go ahead with the Summer Fayre on Friday afternoon as planned. However, we will continue to monitor the weather closely and will provide a further update later in the week.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we respond to the changing weather conditions.
Kind regards,
Mrs Morris
Headteacher

Good morning everyone ☺
Just a quick update to let you know that BT have been into school this morning and have fixed the fault on our phone lines.
Everything should be back up and running as normal, so you should have no trouble getting through to us.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding while we got this sorted. We really appreciate it!

Friends resilience - Fun Friends. We played the friendship potion game and put all the mean, unkind behaviours in the bin. We talked about ways we can be kind to all living beings and our planet. They shared some great ideas! Da iawn Pawb.
Helping animals, and nature can make children feel happy, proud and confident - it builds compassion, empathy and respect helping them grow into caring responsible individuals.

We had such an amazing day yesterday. The children took part in lots of fun activities including raft building, climbing wall, trapeze and the crate challenge. Today, we've taken part in our last few activities before lunch, and we will be heading back to school soon.
You'll get a message from school to let you know if you can pick your children up earlier.

Morning all😊. We are all having lots of fun in Robinwood. Very proud of everyone for giving all of the activities a go. We've done so much already including zipline, giant swing, caving and high ropes! And we are ready for another fun filled day today.

Friends Resilience - Fun Friends Groups. We can choose thoughts that help us grow.
The children taking part in Friends Resilience this week have been learning about how their thoughts impact how they think, feel and act. In Friends we use the term red/unhelpful and green/helpful thoughts.
They learnt that there is no right or wrong way to think but if we try to focus more on our green/helpful thoughts we should feel happier, calmer and more confident.
Working as a team they practiced choosing and finding positive thoughts.

Lower School have had a fantastic ’When I grow up’ day. We had pilots, an astronaut, fashion designers and many more. We have had visits from the Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police. We had lots of fun trying on outfits, looking in the police car, being handcuffed and looking at a breathalyzer.
