⭐Educational consultancy & content development ⭐

With over 20 years of experience in education, including senior leadership, I also offer educational consultancy and content development for a range of projects.

I specialise in English across KS1 and KS2, with particular expertise in reading, writing and handwriting.

My previous work includes:

✨ Writing cross-curricular units of work for education companies
✨ Developing English and handwriting content for BBC Bitesize
✨ Creating high-quality English resources based around engaging texts
✨ Supporting curriculum development and planning
✨ Reviewing and improving existing educational content
✨ Bringing a classroom teacher’s perspective to educational projects.

I’m a qualified primary teacher with a PGCE and a Graduate Certificate in School Leadership.

I understand both the educational principles behind high-quality resources and importantly, what actually works with children in the classroom.

If you’re looking for an experienced English specialist, I’d love to hear from you.

Get in touch to discuss how I can help with your project ☺️

I currently have a Tuesday 1:1 tuition slot and daytime availability for home education.

With over 24 years of experience in primary education/educational consultancy and extensive experience teaching English, I aim to make lessons supportive and engaging. Most importantly, lessons pupils feel comfortable coming to. Sessions take place in my cosy home with snacks, drinks and a friendly dog available where needed! I offer nurturing yet challenging lessons and can use my extensive experience to support parents too.

If you’re looking for some extra English support, feel free to send me a message and we can have a chat about what you’re looking for. 😊

Simply feeling more confident using English day to day

I offer friendly, supportive 1:1 English sessions for adults, tailored to exactly what you need.

There’s no judgement, no pressure and no expectation that you should already know everything - just practical support at your own pace.

⭐Update time! ⭐

I thought it was time for me to update this page with my latest news.

Great news is that my SATs and GCSE English students from last academic year all did so well! As always, I was just as nervous as getting results for my own children 😅
I didn't need to worry though, so proud!

I am coming to the end of my latest BBC Bitesize project. New handwriting sections for KS1 will be available soon with a special guest doing the voiceovers!

Sad news, another spelling project that I was due to be involved with is no longer going ahead...onwards and upwards.

I may have a Tuesday slot becoming available ...let me know if you need English tuition and I'm sure I can squeeze you in.

Just having a coffee and sorting my admin ...get in touch if you need me ☺️

I'm not 'just' a teacher/ English tutor...

I also do freelance writing and consultancy work 😊

Recently, I have been involved in a project writing content for BBC Bitesize English via Redbricks Media. A few of the units have finally gone live!
