As a cashless campus, all University of Chester sites require you to pay by card, Google Pay or Apple Pay — so having access to a UK bank account can make managing your money much easier.
To open a UK bank account, you’ll need a bank letter from the University. Only full-time students enrolled on courses of more than six months’ duration can open a UK bank account.
To download your bank letter, you must first complete your enrolment. This includes paying your tuition fees and providing copies of your passport and/or visa documents, where applicable.
Before opening an account, check with your chosen bank what documents you’ll need. You’ll normally need:
📄 Your passport
📄 Your student visa
📄 Proof of your UK address
📄 Your University enrolment confirmation letter
