With UK exam board announcing modifications to exam specifications for summer entry, educators and students alike are having to be increasingly flexible in their approach to learning.

Despite the workload decreasing, it could still be challenging to know how to tackle the new and reduced workload, given that some of the revision previously done may no longer be applicable for assessment purposes.

If you are considering how to tackle this, then private tuition may be handy. Feel free to reach out if necessary - I am still have availability, but my time table is certainly filling up.

For the last 5 years now, I have been providing tailored private tuition through the UK based MyTutor platform, targeting GCSE and Alevel tuition for the British Curriculums.

After having become increasingly frustrated with the MyTutor interface, technology (or lack thereof) and poor customer service support team for tutors I have decided to limit my usage of the platform, in favour of other set-ups... Namely Google !

The Google Suite provides a really fantastic hub for online tuition, with the option to create a designated Google Classroom, for each student, in which students and tutors alike can share resources and work. Using Google Meet instantly means that the lesson link can be paired up to your calendar, making scheduling a breeze ! Doing it this way still keeps everything neat and unified and enables a more fluid approach.

What I am really excited about is that by dealing with clients directly I am in complete control of my pricing... I am not totally constrained by the band system of MyTutor. This means I can offer a far more competitive rate, as the use of Google is not subject to an admin fee. With that in mind, I can offer hourly rates of £32.
