This year has been challenging for a lot of people, including myself😅

But one thing I’ve learnt is that where you place your attention is where you place your energy.

So my coach Paul has asked me to share some of my biggest achievements this year in the spirit of spreading some positivity💚

It feels a bit weird but I hope it helps someone out there. 🙏🏽

Here are the top 10 things I’ve managed to achieve this year that I’m most proud of:

1. Taking the kids to Liverpool matches (Men & Women's Team)
2. Significantly reduced my Alcohol intake.
3. Taking the Family to Rhodes
4. Creating a video my cousins 50th that he can cherish.
5. Becoming a certified coach and completing over 50 sessions with clients - Luke - Future You Coach
6. Paul Mort becoming my coach.
7. Helping Isla & Ava Raise £650 for Clare House.
8. Creating magical memories with Rach & the girls.
9. Volunteering day in Manchester for children with additional needs at the Etihad Campus.
10.Meeting Krish Thapa (Warrior Monk) at Villa Park

📡THE CHRISTMAS 'MEH' DAYS!📡

That time between Christmas and new year....

Twixmas?
Crimbo Limbo?
'MEH' Days?
No Mans Land?

Anyway, you know exactly the days I am referring to!

The days you're asking yourself what day it is.

You're in the fridge picking at xmas food that now all tastes the same.

Looking at the clock, debating if 3.28pm is an acceptable time to 'open the bar'.

The plan was to 'enjoy family time'....

But why will everyone be getting a bit fed up of each other during this time?

Everyone has a little too much time on their hands.

Everyone seems a little bored of been in the house so much and everything is just a bit 'MEH'.

So let me ask you..

Knowing what them 'in-between days' are going to be like and feel like, what are you going to do different this year?

What could you plan this week and pencil in, to give you something to look forward to late next week?

Or just to even break that Christmas routine...

It can be a walk somewhere local, bowling, cinema, a meal out or meeting up with friends. It can literally be anything you or your tribe want it to be.

So let me know, what ideas are you coming up with to make sure them 'MEH' days don't creep up on you?

These 'MEH' days will only creep up on you if you leave it to chance!

Went for a for a 'short back and sides, fringe on top' earlier.

Cool story Luke, I hear you say....Hear me out!

There was an old chap in there having his haircut who was before me, I don't know his name.

I am going with Albert, he looked like an Albert...

So Albert was sat in the chair taking off his hearing aids and explaining to the barber to be a little careful as he had, had brain surgery earlier this year.

Once the barber had finished, Albert turned to me and said...

"Sorry for taking so long young man, things take a little longer now I am 90, what I give to be 70 again"

Albert wanted to be 70 again!!!

Yet at times I find myself whinging about heading towards 40!

My take away message after speaking to 'Albert' for a few minutes was....

Do we really appreciate how YOUNG we are?

We often see that picture on our phones that reminds us how young we looked back in 2014.

But isn't it mad, if you took a picture of yourself today, you would look back at the picture in the future and think 'Look how young I look there".

I know we always hear, 'you're never going to be as young as you are today blah blah blah....

BUT the reality is... We are not, are we?

A fact that none of us can disagree with, that one day in the future, we will be wishing we were the age we are right now.

Make sure 90 year old you isn't annoyed with (input current age) year old you for not squeezing as much juice out the lemon as possible.

MAKE IT COUNT!
