We are excited to share the itinerary for our World Book Day Celebrations 2026!

This year’s theme is MYSTERY, and we have planned a range of engaging activities for students to enjoy throughout the week:

Something suspicious is happening at Christleton High School… and our students are on the case.

Here’s what’s unfolding across the week:

🗓 MONDAY
A mysterious crime takes place at Christleton High!
Students will watch a video during form time and identify the location of the incident.

🗓 TUESDAY
More clues are revealed…
Can students determine the murder weapon?

🗓 WEDNESDAY
The suspects are interrogated.
Using all the evidence gathered, students will identify the culprit and submit their final accusation.

🗓 THURSDAY – WORLD BOOK DAY!
Dress up as a literary character (full uniform for Year 11 due to photos and for anyone not dressing up).
And finally… the murderer is revealed ! 👀

🗓 FRIDAY
The return of our popular Book Bingo Scavenger Hunt - encouraging even more reading for pleasure across the school.

A full week of storytelling, creativity and collaboration — celebrating reading in a way that reflects our values of being Caring, Committed, Collaborative, Cheerful and Creative.

In July 2026, 20 Y12 students will be embarking on a trip to Japan. This trip is part of the Turing Scheme, which is designed to give students the opportunity to develop their skills, gain international work experience and boost their employability.

🌟 Year 11 Wellbeing & Exam Support Evening – This Wednesday! 🌟
We’re inviting all Year 11 students and their families to join us on Wednesday 28th January, 4:30–6pm for an evening designed to support, encourage and prepare you for the exam season ahead.

Across the evening, you can choose from a range of practical and wellbeing‑focused workshops — from managing stress and building effective revision habits to understanding how school will support you through the final stretch.

⏰ Sessions run at:
4:30pm • 5:00pm • 5:30pm
Choose one workshop per session (maximum of three).

🌟 We’re Recruiting at Christleton High School! 🌟

We are excited to advertise a permanent, full‑time Specialist SEND Intervention Practitioner role within our busy Student Services team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people. The successful candidate will lead our additional learning provision for a small group of students who, at times, are unable to access mainstream lessons due to behavioural, emotional, or mental health needs.

We’re looking for someone with:
• A strong understanding of the statutory nature of education welfare work
• A good standard of education
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence working with children, parents, stakeholders, and the wider community

Christleton High School was delighted to welcome back former CHS student Samantha Dixon, MP for Chester North and Neston.

During her visit, she spoke with Sixth Formers and Year 11 History and Politics students about a range of current political topics and answered their questions with insight and openness.

It was a real pleasure to have her return to the school and engage with our students.

⭐ Summer 2025 Exam Certificates are now available for collection from the Main School Reception⭐

Reception opening times during term time are between 08:00 and 15:30 daily Monday to Friday.

As the certificates are legal documents, all certificate holders must bring a form of ID when collecting their certificates, for example a passport or photocard driving licence.

If someone else (other the certificate holder) is collecting the certificates on their behalf, a signed note from the certificate holder, authorising the collection on their behalf, must be given to the member of staff issuing the certificates.

The person collecting the certificates will also be asked for their ID to confirm they are the designated person mentioned in the certificate holder’s note.

Certificates will not be issued without the correct ID or written permissions.

Certificate holders should note that it is their responsibility to check that they have received all of their certificates and that all the grades showing are correct. If a certificate holder has any queries regarding their certificates, they should contact the Exams Department via the school website.
