🌘 Eclipse 🌗

Our preschoolers had the best time today making gloop inspired by the solar eclipse! ☀️

We mixed, squished, and explored all the swirling colours to make our orange gloop as we talked about how the moon moves in front of the sun and creates that magical “daytime darkness.” 🌚

A hands-on play approach is the perfect way for our Early Learners to understand the big science ideas and today they were absolutely fascinated🌙✨

🧪Potion Making🧪

This week our Pre-schoolers became Witches and Wizards concocting potions with their gathered garden findings 🪴

We explored our plants by discovering how they change scent after being crushed or mixed together 🌾

We learnt that flowers can be grown from seeds and that they need plenty of water and sunlight to become big and strong just like us! 🌼

We also used some scent enhancers from our kitchen like cinnamon, pepper and sprinkles🧂

When we were done we made a wish and sprinkled our potions away 🔮

To access your funded hours from September, you must apply for your childcare code by 31st August. However, we strongly recommend applying as early as possible to allow time for your application to be processed.

Once your application has been approved, you will receive an 11-digit code to provide to the nursery.

Earlier this week with the hot weather our baby room had an amazing sensory play idea to keep us cool 😎

Babies explored so many of their growing senses during this activity! We tasted the sour zing of the lemon 😝, smelled the fresh citrus fruits👃, felt the cold slimy texture as they squeezed and splashed🖐️

🍓 Smoothie time 🍌

This week in Pre-school we have focused on healthy eating and how we can make it more enjoyable! 🍍

We became little chefs, choosing what fruit we wanted to have and mix in the smoothie and then chopping them up ourselves, we used our fine motor skills for this!👨‍🍳

We spoke about the colours, textures, taste and smells talking about where and how the different fruits grow 🍇

Of course the best part was getting to taste our product and boy was it delicious! 😋
