We are currently looking for experienced Level 2 & Level 3 Nursery Nurses to join our Spinney Team 😊

If you have a passion for supporting and encouraging children’s learning and development in their early years and would like to be part of a small but friendly team, please get in touch.

We have vacancies for both our Spinney Day Nursery Hoole (Hoole Village, Chester) and our Spinney Bell Meadow (Pulford me Chester) nurseries.

This week the children have been learning about and celebrating Chinese New Year.

We were very lucky to have a visit from one of our Pre School children’s Aunty who talked about all the customs and traditions that take place at New Year.

They heard about the different animals for each year and how to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

There was lots of fantastic activities and food, which the children throughly enjoyed!

A huge thanks to H’s wonderful Aunty who visited us and shared the fabulous tradition of Chinese New Year!

Our annual Environmental Health Inspection has been done and we are pleased to announce that we’ve continued to obtain our 5 ⭐️ rating 🥳

A huge well done to our Spinney Cook, Ellie, for keeping standards high in the health & safety of the kitchen! ❤️

UPDATE: The power is now back on & all is well. The phone line and emails are back in action so should you need to contact the nursery, please do so at the usual phone numbers/emails.

Well done & thank you to our Team for managing a tricky situation extremely well, whilst ensuring the children were safe, warm & happy!

UPDATE: The power is still out but we are managing the situation. The engineers know and are due to rectify it by 14:30.

If we feel that the welfare of the staff and children are at risk we will contact parents - as it’s stands at the moment the children are happy and warm!

We hope you all have a peaceful, restful festive week and look forward to seeing our lovely staff, children and families in the New Year 💚

A huge well done to the Spinney Team for completing their Level 3 in Paediatric First Aid 🥳. For some of the newer staff it was their first time completing the course and for others, it was their 3 year renewal.

We feel it is so important to have all of our staff trained to a high level of Paediatric First Aid in order to provide them with confidence and create a safe environment.

A big thank you as always to the fantastic
Adam from Peers & Rooney Training Limited for delivering yet another fantastic First Aid course which was both informative and enjoyable.

Adam has provided the Level 3 Paediatric First Aid training for the Spinney Hoole & Spinney Bell Meadow for many years and we highly recommend him.

The other fantastic news is that he has very kindly supplied us with our very own
Automated external defibrillator (AED) to keep on site at The Spinney Hoole.

Something we hope we never have to use but extremely vital to have if ever a situation that requires it occurs.

Again, a huge thank you to Adam for this amazing gesture!

It’s that time of the year again when we begin to say farewell to our Spinney Hoole Pre School children as they begin their next adventure - school! We can’t believe how quickly the time has flown as it only feels like yesterday since they joined the Spinney Family as babies or toddlers!

Although it’s bittersweet to have to say goodbye, we had the most fantastic time at their Leavers Trip.

This year we went to Tam O’Shanter Urban Farm ( tam_oshanter_farm) where the children and staff had a lovely time meeting and feeding the animals.

We had a guided tour by the lovely Farm staff who showed the children the different animals that live there. The children even got to meet some lovely Guinea Pigs and rabbits, giving them a stroke of their soft fur.

Next, the children had a picnic around the Fairy Circle and had a look at all the other animals around the Urban Farm.

It’s a fantastic place and definitely worth a visit so be sure to check out their website for more information.

To our wonderful Pre School Leavers and their Families, we will miss you all so very much but wish you all the best for your start to school.

🧑‍🍳NURSERY COOK VACANCY 🍳

We are looking for a Part-time Cook to join our Spinney Team at the Spinney Day Nursery, Bell Meadow setting on the Bell Meadow Business Park in Pulford nr Chester (CH4 9EP).

Their role will be to cook fresh, heathly and delicious meals for the nursery children.

Working hours include Monday to Wednesday 9.30am to 5.30pm.

The ideal candidate:

Must be experienced in a Catering role and have knowledge of Dietary requirements and Allergies, and a current Food Hygiene certificate.

⭐️ Will require a DBS Check to be carried out by the nursery.

⭐️ An ability to follow a 4 weekly menu.

⭐️ An ability to work as part of a nursery team.

⭐️ Wage, hourly rate will depend on qualification and experience.
