Today we are celebrating another outstanding year of continued improvement in GCSE results!🤩
We have made gains across all headline measures, achieving an Attainment 8 score of 50.6, once again placing it well above both the national and Durham averages. The Attainment 8 score is the Government's measure of overall GCSE performance across a student's best eight qualifications.
An impressive 84% of students achieved a Grade 4 or above in English, while 73% secured Grade 4 or above in both English and maths. In mathematics, 23% of all grades awarded were Grade 7 or above, demonstrating exceptional performance. Across all subjects, more than 60 grades were awarded the highest and most prestigious Grade 9.👏
In addition to our overall school achievement, we would like to celebrate some stand out individual performances, including:
👏 Charlotte M, who secured seven Grade 9s and two Grade 8s
👏 Millie D, who earned seven Grade 9s and a Grade 8.
👏 Caitlin B, who achieved five Grade 9s and four Grade 8s.
👏 Lauren W, who earned four Grade 9s and four Grade 8s
These fantastic results are a testament to the hard work, dedication and resilience of our students, as well as the unwavering support of staff and families. Congratulations to all our students on their remarkable achievements. We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished.⭐
