October Half Term 🎃

As is often the case at this point in the calendar, a lot of us are catching our breath after a long first stretch of the school year. Hopefully your child (or children or grandchildren) has settled in well, and this coming week offers a bit of a change of pace.

But for some, this half term break is arriving just in time. Whether it’s tiredness, wobbling confidence, missed lessons due to illness, or just struggling to settle for reasons that feel unknown, this time of year can be tough - especially for children who need a bit of extra support to thrive in the classroom.

The next stretch of Autumn term isn’t always easy either, but it’s often when the right support can make a real difference.

We're currently at full capacity for 1:1 tutoring, but we're always happy to talk, offer advice, or keep you updated if availability changes. And if you're looking ahead to January, now’s a good time to get in touch - please feel free to contact us here on Facebook or by email.

Good luck to all Y6 children across Chester-le-Street (and beyond), who will receive their KS2 SATs results tomorrow. Be PROUD of everything that you have achieved!

Spring is almost here, and with with SATs now approximately 2 months away, our students have been putting in a ton of effort, improving their core maths and English skills and gaining in confidence.

A special thank you to the parents who have entrusted us with a role in their children's education, and to the teachers who have worked with us to create a strong link between classroom learning and our tutoring.

And a BIG thank you, of course, to the stars of the show: our students.

If you're considering tutoring for your child or children and have any questions, please do get in touch.

📢Fantastic Progress Alert!!📢

In our latest tutoring session, we dived into the world of ratios and long division, concepts that can often seem daunting at first. Through a mix of explanations, practical examples, and practice questions, we've seen exceptional understanding and application. It's so encouraging to see students tackle challenges head-on, correct themselves, and emerge more confident in their abilities.

We couldn't be more proud of the strides our students are making 👏👏👏.

Another fantastic tutoring session at Elevate Tutoring! The focus was on sharpening our KS2 geometry skills and exploring techniques for ensuring we understand and fully answer questions, especially on the Reasoning papers. It's wonderful to see our young learners making such impressive progress and having fun while doing it. We even spiced things up with a 'fastest finger first' quiz – the enthusiasm and competitive spirit were through the roof! 🐎🐶 Every session is a step closer to mastering those key concepts. Keep up the great work!

Fantastic session yesterday with two of our learners and a focus on percentages, with both students showing eagerness to learn and improve and making really impressive progress in a topic they previously didn't feel confident in. This is what learning is all about - tackling challenges head-on and growing stronger each step of the way. 🥳💪🙌
