What a fun day we have had back at nursery! Reading Owl Babies, learning our new routines, exploring new toys and meeting new friends. Our Giant African Land Snails Susie and Sameer have had lots and lots of babies!

The Village Nursery is slowly returning to normal. The sound of children laughing and playing is a beautiful sound that we have missed so much over the past couple of months. All of the children, including the tiny ones, have embraced the new routines without protest and have shown great resilience in their new surroundings. It has been wonderful to watch the children return and be so excited to see their friends and all the staff.

After owning nurseries for 29 years I have never experienced such damaging times for the sector with rising costs not being met by the funding rates available. Business Rates are a large drain on the sector and can mean the difference between nurseries being able to stay open and having to close.

What an amazing outdoor space we have at The Village Nursery. Space to run, ride bikes, climb, slide and have lots of fun. Quiet spaces, play houses and a fun sand shed. Free flow all day for the children to choose and explore.

And so the countdown begins to the new term starting on Wednesday 6th September. Many old and new faces joining us to continue and start their amazing journey with The Village Nursery.
Our new preschool room has given our latest cohort of school leavers excellent skills to embark upon their school journey.
