His current work is focused on developing the talents and personalities of students and graduates in education & careers. My vision for becoming CareerClear:
Starting a career should be one of the most exciting times in a young person's life. Yet, the process of starting a career and finding work is too often met with trepidation, uncertainty and a lack of clarity; a process which often leads to
the wrong person in the wrong company doing the wrong type of work. This is costly (in both time and money) for the individual and the recruiters of young people. Finding work which aligns with a person's interests, personality-type, and personal values is particularly important (but in practice very uncommon) because it relies on the self-awareness of the individual to know what type of work they want to do and why. I believe that much of this process can be managed at the front-end by helping young people to understand, in much greater depth, the type of work & work environments that would best match their personal preferences and plans for future development. I work with Millennials and Gen-Z (18-30 year-olds) who are:
1. Preparing to start their career (from College or University) but lack clarity about what to do.
2. Currently in the early stages of their career, but do not feel their current work or workplace is right for them. My focus is on the uniqueness of the individual and helping them to find work which will be congruent with their personality, interests, strengths, and values. I achieve this by gaining insights on three key questions:
1. Who are they?(increase self-awareness)
2. (What type of work/work environment will inspire them to do their best work)
