We are sharing the news that after 54 years of operation since its foundation in 1972 and for a variety of reasons, Chesham Grammar Equestrian Club will sadly not be able to continue beyond the end of this school year.
For over half a century, CGEC has offered opportunities across all aspects of equestrian activity, caring for the ponies, riding holidays as well as spectating at International Competitions—and created lasting memories and friendships along the way.
We recognise the important part the club has played in the lives of many students and families.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to three generations of the Mash family for the use of their fields, the many parents and former students who have contributed to and supported the club over the years, and in particular the commitment of those who have gone on to become regular volunteers.
Last but certainly not least, we say a huge thank you to Antonia Thoday who has run the club for over 40 years. She has inspired hundreds of students, fostering in them a lifelong love of horses. She truly is a CGS legend! Thank you, Miss Thoday.
