A uninformed teacher has told my daughter about periods today, taking away my chance as a mother to explain it in my own good time and in my own way, this is something I will NEVER GET BACK!
I have said repeatedly that we do not agree or believe in it and make our beliefs and values very clear, but they have been completely disregarded today, and now I have to sit my child down and explain things to her, 3-4 years earlier than I would of done.
To make it clear, WE DO NOT TEACH OUR INNOCENT BABIES THE FACTS OF LIFE UNTIL WE ARE READY! We dont tell our little ones that babies are grown in our bellyโs, we tell them they come from the stalk! We know that they donโt believe us, but it teaches our children not to discuss such things in the presence of other innocent children, and adults. We do not need a stranger to do this for us, we send our children to school to learn maths, English, science etc. It is my job, and my right, to teach my children about personal things, how and when I decide I want to, not when this messed up nanny state society decides itโs the right time! If anyone wants to discuss this message with me, inbox me or approach me at school!
We are a one form entry primary school in Lyne Village with an on-site Nursery and Forest School.
Operating as usual

The sun is shining ready to welcome our next class of Rabbits for their 'stay and play' session today! ๐ ๐ฐ

Our Rabbits class had a wonderful visit to Hounslow Urban Farm today. There were lots of animal encounter opportunities and the children loved feeding the animals too! Well done to our children for being so well behaved and keen to join in with the experiences. ๐
Have a great weekend!

Our Rabbits arrived at the farm to lots of hungry animals! Now time for a tropical animal talk before our farm talk later on. Mrs Spragg is being very brave!

What a fabulous afternoon we had!

Time for a whole school picnic!

Jubilee themed crowns and crafts are filling the classrooms!

We are very excited about our Platinum Jubilee celebrations this afternoon! Preparations for an afternoon of fun are well underway!

How to use an Xbox or PlayStation for online learning A Welsh pupilโs guide to using an Xbox or PlayStation games console to access online learning is being hailed as a potential solution for families who lack devices, now that schools have switched to remote education
It has been so lovely to see so many of our children joining our Google Meet sessions today. Lots of excited faces eager to catch up with each other. Do get in touch with the school if you are having issues joining in with these sessions.
As we approach the end of the first week of term in 2021(which has not really been a week any of us expected or hoped for), we would like to say thank you to all our families for their support. It has been lovely to see so many children joining us online, as well as seeing the critical worker children we have in school. Thank you again to the Lyne staff team for all their efforts on behalf of our children. Happy Friday all!
Today we are starting our online learning for all of lovely children who are learning at home. Please check Google Classroom and get in touch with your child's teacher if you have any problems. They will get back to you ASAP but please keep in mind that they may be leading provision for critical workers in school.
Please remember that you can only do what you can do - we know this is challenging for all families in many different ways, so do what works for you and your family.
Thank you to our families for their patience today whilst we work to make arrangements for the coming weeks.
Our Google Form deadline for requesting critical worker places closed at 12.00 midday today. Those who applied before this time should have received a response via parent mail. We have reached our current safe capacity and any future queries regarding places during lockdown should be directed to [email protected]
Thank you to the amazing Lyne staff team who have again re-imagined how and what we will teach in the coming weeks.

Following this evening's announcement by the Prime Minister, we will be closed to ALL children tomorrow (Tues 5th Jan) to enable us to plan provision and staffing for critical workers and online learning for those at home. A letter is being sent to parents via parent mail.
If you think your child may be eligible for a Critical Worker place please fill in our survey https://forms.gle/rE3EGB1jthomMjCV6

One day left before the Christmas holidays.
We have managed to find lots of different ways to celebrate and prepare for Christmas with paper chains of hopes for 2021 and prayers for the world. Santa managed a virtual visit to each class and the class discos (thanks to the PTFA) were great fun. Thank you to all our children, families and staff.
Great class assembly from our Reception class today. So many smiling faces!
We are well into the swing of the new term now and are looking forward to an exciting Spring ahead. We wanted to say a big thank you to all our families for their kind gifts at Christmas. We really appreciate the thought.
Look out over the next few days on Twitter for updates from our Fox class as they head off on residential.
