A lovely day in forest school, we have enjoyed making mini Christmas trees, doing our own sawing and drilling and decorating with wool. We have also created lots of new areas in forest school. One being a digging area, the children love to dig, it is really good for their core strength and co-ordination.

What a lovely time we are having in our forest school this week, making mud pies, rainbows for our wishing tree, raking the leaves and playing lots of quiet and loud music in the forest as well as trying to identify different birds that visit our forest school.
Forest School is a wonderful way to increase a child's confidence and self-esteem through exploration, problem solving, and learning through doing activities different from those in a nursery setting.
We've found that Forest school has really helped to settle our new children into Nursery. 🌲🌳🌿🍁🍄🌸🪨🐸🦋🐦

This week we made a special memorial with our children’s hand prints to pay our respects to our Queen. Myself, Mrs Watkins and Mrs Cook took it up to Windsor, it was lovely to see our message from Nursery amongst all the flowers. 💐💐💐

What a wonderful end to a busy year! we've had sports day, an entertainer to come to make us laugh and our leavers assembly.
So lovely to be able to put on all these events and have lots of parents and carers come to watch.
A huge thank you from all of Lyne and Longcross Nursery teachers, we have loved teaching and looking after your children, and wish their all the very bst in their onward journey.
We have been well and truly spoiled by all your kind gifts today. We are very lucky! Thank you very much xx

What a fantastic day at Lyne Village fete! Great turn out and lovely community spirit!

And a special well done to Noah for picking the winning name of the elephant… Pippin ☺️
