And just like that… 12 years of Sing and Sign comes to an end. 🥹❤️

Today was my last ever Sing and Sign session — the last time I’ll put on the polo shirt, get Jessie out of the box and enjoy those gorgeous little smiles, signs, songs and giggles.

I honestly can’t put into words how much this little business has meant to me over the last 12 years. I’ve met so many wonderful families, worked with some amazing nurseries and been lucky enough to share so many special moments with you and your little ones.

So, from the bottom of my heart… thank you. ❤️

Thank you for coming to my classes, for singing with me, signing with me, recommending me to friends, welcoming me into your nurseries and for being part of my Sing and Sign journey.

It’s definitely an emotional goodbye, but I’m also really excited for the next chapter.

Vicki will be taking over very soon and is already busy planning a fun-filled new term starting in September! 🎶

👋 It’s goodbye from me… and hello to Vicki! 💙

After 12 wonderful years of teaching Sing and Sign, it’s time for me to move on and hand over to the lovely Vicki, who is so excited to be taking over your local classes.

I just want to say a huge thank you to every family who has sung, signed, laughed and learned with me over the years. It’s been such a privilege to be part of so many little ones’ communication journeys and to watch so many babies grow in confidence through the magic of music and signing. I’ll treasure the memories and friendships we’ve made along the way.

One of my favourite signs to teach is the Home sign 🏡

We often think babies use signs just to ask for things like “milk”, “more” or “snack” but signs can also help them communicate feelings and emotional needs before they have words.

“Home” isn’t always about wanting to leave. Sometimes it means:
I’m tired.
I need comfort.
I need to feel safe and connected again.

My own children used this sign so often when we were out and about. They didn’t necessarily want to stop what we were doing, but it was their way of telling me they needed a cuddle, reassurance, or a little reset.

Giving babies signs gives them a voice long before speech develops and that can make such a difference to emotional regulation, connection, and feeling understood 💛

Moments like this are exactly why we sign with our babies.
