When we put together the Carers Course the one thing we also wanted to do was give our carers access to products and organisations they may not have seen.
Finding ways to keep gardening, to stay clean when you don’t like washing or even finding clocks that are easy to read can be difficult when you’re either living with a dementia or caring for someone living with a dementia.
Knowing that there are solutions out there can make all the difference.
Thank you to all the fantastic companies who sent us samples and leaflets. We are incredibly grateful for your support!
If you have a service or a product that might be of interest to carers, then get in touch as we’d love to showcase what you’re doing on our next course.

Next week (8-14th June) is Carers Week - celebrating the work of the estimated 5.8million carers in the UK (although we can probably all agree that number is likely to be much higher!)
Here at the Carers Course we thought it made total sense to celebrate the week by holding our second course teaching basic first aid, manual handling and communication - supporting unpaid carers in Gloucestershire and helping them to care with confidence.
As an organisation that was set up by a carer and supported by many who have also been carers, we want to do all we can to highlight everything carers do and remind them that they need support too and it’s ok to ask for help!
If you know a carer, maybe take this as a gentle reminder to ask them how they’re doing today. Give them space to just be. Offer a cup of tea and a listening ear.
And if you are a carer, know that we’re with you. We’re just taking it one day at a time too, and that’s ok.
Together, we are stronger.
