Our Story
Our settings inspiration and approach is based in a Reggio Emilia ideas and thoughts - we see the child as a competent learner and follow their ideas, we listen, we provoke and we observe the child and their ideas, as a team we discuss, evaluate and reflect on the best way to plan and enable awe inspiring learning and teaching. We believe we learn from your child and that they already have some great ideas. At our preschool our environment is key to our approach, we have stories on tap, we use outside all the time (except for when we are eating, unless we are having a picnic), our door is open in any weather (we just wear the right clothes for the weather). We have an outside tap which the children can access and make puddles or whatever they want to with the water everyday. It is unusual if your child comes home clean and tidy however they will of hand an amazing time with tuned in professionals. Most of our resources are handmade and recycled as we promote sustainability, if you can donate logs, pebbles, flour, cornflour, powder paint to our charity run preschool then we will love you forever (if you cant we still love you). We work on the premise of professional love (Dr Jools Page) and we encourage empathy and kindness. You, your child and the teachers work as a team to enable the best start in life and confidence and well-being for the future.
Glenfall Preschool is a community committee-run pre-school for children aged 2 years up until school age. We want you to work with us as children progress so much more when you are on board. We know everyone is busy however the bigger the committee the less everyone needs to do. So come on be the change you want to see in the world and work alongside us for happier better futures.
