Our Monday chair yoga class at Holy Apostles Hall began over 3 years ago. With many requests from the local residents we thought it was time to offer a second weekly class. I am delighted to say Mark Adams will be offering a Thursday afternoon chair yoga class starting on the 6th November.

Enjoy gentle movement, calm breathing, and deep relaxation in a small, friendly group.

Just home from a fantastic 5-days supporting the Dru Yoga Therapy diploma training in North Wales. Inspiring lectures, early morning yoga and deep relaxation to prepare everyone for their observed clinical assessments. Itโs not long before they will be fully qualified and offering yoga therapy from the South Coast of England to Scotland.
Connecting with nature, walking through mountain valleys and some even went swimming in the rivers!

This day-retreat is being held in the solitude of the Coln Valley. Situated in the Cotswolds half-way between Northleach and Cirencester and 30-minute drive from Cheltenham.
Arrive early to settle and enjoy a welcome cuppa on the veranda; absorbing your natural surroundings and feel the pace of life slowing down. Our morning begins with yoga to revitalise body and mind. There will also be a guided relaxation and seated meditation to feel rejuvenated by the end of the morning.
An afternoon guided walk in the solitude of the Coln Valley (3 hours allows for stops along the way). Level walking requires a moderate level of fitness.
Lunch is bring and share something vegetarian which we will have on the shaded terrace or lawn outside (weather permitting).

The new NICE guidelines, now recognise physical exercise should be the main treatment for osteoarthritis - NOT painkillers.
Osteoarthritis is very common - about 7.4 million people in England over the age of 45 have it.
In our weekly chair-yoga classes we focus on movements to keep the body supple, good posture to help with balance and better breathing to help relax the body, calm the mind and self-manage pain. This week we started to learn finger and hand movements!
