Has anyone seen a green blue Peter badge like this one, on the way back from Playgroup today or has it made its way back via one of the children today. It belongs to Mrs Roadknight’s daughter and she’d love to have it back. Thank you! 💚

It’s been a very busy half term, but a thoroughly enjoyable one! We have enjoyed a brief spell of beautiful warm sunshine and loved playing out doors. This week we have been thinking about heathy eating and where our produce comes from. We hope you all have a lovely half term and that hopefully the sun makes another appearance 💛

💚A quick update on the last couple of weeks of this term. The children enjoyed all things horse racing last week when we celebrated the Cheltenham race week. They created their own racing colours and had their own horse jumping small world activity. We celebrated St Patrick’s day with marble rolling shamrocks and our very own handprints turned into little leprechauns 💚 This week we have baked hot cross buns and made very cute bunny headdresses all ready for the Easter holidays 💛🐰🐣 Happy Easter everyone, see you on 8th April.

It’s that time of year again when mini eggs are lining the supermarket shelves. But, did you know that, just like grapes, they are the perfect size to block a small child’s airway and choke them? And, their hard shell can make it difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques.

With whole grapes we advise cutting them in half lengthways and ideally into quarters to create thin strips. But chopping up mini eggs isn’t as easy. So, what can you do?

1. Hide them from the children and eat them yourself – good luck with that!

2. Put the mini eggs into a sealable plastic bag and smash them into small pieces with a rolling pin. Or, crush them in a pestle and mortar.

3. Opt for a different treat. Larger, hollow eggs are much safer for little ones.
