While I've been teaching Rosieglo Yoga In Cheltenham midweek I was shown the new secret garden. The 1st time it was still a concrete wall with a promise of a mural by a local artist...I had everything crossed that it might magically turn out to be Hannah Gabriel - so pleased when I went back and found this πŸ₯°

It is a lovely place to hang out and is available to Rosieglo Yoga In Cheltenham students any time, with or without a drink from gym & jollies (but who do a lovely iced latte!) 🀩

My regular students are used to taking a tightrope walk back and forth along the mat with their eyes closed. It is a moment for curiosity and playfulness in class....
and I thought it was only fair they get to see me do it for once 🀣

So this photo of me excited to receive a postcard from my gorgeous nieces has little to do with my new class, except both filled my heart with joy and gratitude this week πŸ’›

Join me on Monday mornings at 7am at or via zoom for a 45-minute nourishing class to ease your mind & body into the week.

I have taken the sunday letter project pledge:

I pledge to write one letter each Sunday -

- to myself or someone else - as an act of reflection, connection and calm.

- I believe in the power of carving out a pocket of time for myself and I am committed to embracing this ritual as a way of creating balance in my life.

My beautiful friend Joanna took a risk when buying me, the yoga teacher with shelves full of yoga books, another yoga book for my recent birthday.

We struck gold 🀸 a book I've been eyeing up for ages.

50 key yoga poses get introduced by the traditional stories & mythology they have come from. With the most stunning illustrations 😍

It is important to me as a teacher to understand the ancient philosophy that has led to the modern day practice.

Join me this week to see if I weave any stories into my classes:

Spending the weekend with .yoga.holistics warms my soul. Julie is one of the most gentle & kindest people, but when I needed it she stepped up and told me some truths others held back. I needed this, it was the kindest thing to do, but also often the hardest thing to both say and hear. I need this in my life. Thank you Julie 🧑

This month we are exploring "satya" or truthfulness in class. When we are in poses we often tell ourselves stories about our bodies or what we can or can't do. Those stories are often great big porky pies and do us no favours. My top one at the minute for me: "I can't do that because my hamstrings are too tight or weak".... what's yours? πŸ₯°

Everything is temporary. Change is inevitable. This too shall pass reminds me to be hopeful in the hard times and grateful in the good times. Sure enough, the sun came out, the tent got put up and we had a fabulous festival (with plenty of yoga of course). And 3 days later, my clothes finally dried 🀣πŸ₯ΆπŸ’¦
